season NFL debut for the Philadelphia Eagles. The former Australian Rugby League star is playing his first year of American football and made a positive impression in the preseason despite his incredible inexperience with the game. However Youth Jordan Matthews Jerseys , his prior rugby experience makes for an intriguing possibility as a ball carrier at some point down the line as well. It’s a possibility Eagles head coach Doug Pederson hasn’t shot down.“He鈥檚 definitely used to carrying a larger football. Do they call it a football? I don鈥檛 know what they call it,” Pederson said, via Dave Zangaro of NBC Sports Philadelphia. “Very athletic guy. It鈥檚 intriguing. It鈥檚 not out of the question.”At 6-foot-8, 346 pounds, Mailata would be one of the largest players to ever carry a football in a running back capacity. He’s not going to take a job from Darren Sproles, Corey Clement or Wendell Smallwood any time soon. Any chance he’d be used as a running back would likely be highly specialized situations as well.Nevertheless, it’s a fun idea to consider and Pederson is just the type of coach that would give it a shot if the right opportunity were to present itself. Philadelphia Eagles — Primary tight ends: Zach Ertz, Dallas Goedert, Richard Rodgers. Ertz is a 28-year-old Pro Bowler who set career highs in catches (116), receiving yards (1,163), and catch rate (74.4 percent) last season. Goedert didn’t need much time to adjust to the league even after playing his college ball at South Dakota State, grading out as one of league’s best run blockers at his position. After hauling in 33 catches and four touchdowns, he’s capable of filling the gaps others leave behind if they focus too hard on Ertz. Rodgers is a useful depth option and special teamer who can catch the hell out of a Hail Mary.Report: Eagles’ Joe Douglas will interview for Jets general manager job on Sunday - BGNPhilly could be losing a key front office member soon.Jim Schwartz hints at more player acquisitions for his defense - PhillyVoiceThe Philadelphia Eagles’ offense is loaded. The defense? Eh, on paper Jordan Matthews Jerseys Stitched , it looks solid, but it doesn’t lack its areas of concern. Speaking for the first time since the Birds were eliminated from the playoffs, Jim Schwartz was asked about his thoughts on the the player acquisitions to his defense this offseason. ”It’s obviously still a work in progress,” he said. “If history holds true, there will be another addition somewhere along the line. Howie and Joe have never been shy about adding another player in training camp or at the waiver wire or anything else.” Well then. It sounds a lot like Schwartz would welcome more players being added to his side of the ball. This offseason, of course, the Eagles allocated more resources to their offense than their defense.Appreciating the Eagles - Iggles BlitzSince Jeffrey Lurie took over the Eagles in 1994, he wanted to turn them into a good organization. The first few years were erratic, on and off the field. There wasn’t a strong leader for the organization and it was easy to question just what was going on. Lurie hired Tom Modrak to be the team’s General Manager in 1998 and that had a huge impact. He brought experience and structure to the front office. Lurie and Joe Banner then hired Andy Reid in 1999 and that really changed things. In terms of being part of the community, the first memory I have is Jermane Mayberry’s eyemobile for kids. That started in 1996. Now the Eagles do all kinds of charity events. Players do charitable things on their own. Some of this is for PR, but I think a lot of it is genuine. Become part of the community and help those around you. Take advantage of your time in the limelight. It is easy to be an Eagles fan with what you see, on and off the field. Just look around the rest of the sports world and you see some less than stellar organizations. This time of the year, it’s all about the Brain Game - PE.comIn Year 2, Goedert is in a different place, with a different role. “I’m so much more comfortable, it isn’t even close Youth Timmy Jernigan Jerseys ,” Goedert said. “This time of the year, you’re in the playbook, you’re in the classroom. You have to get it down there first before you take it to the field. I think I’m faster in the offense because I know what I’m doing now. I have a good feel for what I’m supposed to be doing and that makes a huge difference.”Eagles fans show Carson Wentz at annual charity softball game they’re 100 percent behind QB despite injuries - CBS SportsAnd, boy, do they trust. Asked if Wentz is the right guy to lead the Eagles back to the Super Bowl, Rachel Englehardt, of Horsham, replied without hesitation: “I know he is.” At least half a dozen others gave the exact same answer: “One hundred percent.”Ranking the 25 biggest position upgrades of the 2019 NFL offseason - ESPN In$ider23. Philadelphia Eagles, WRDeSean Jackson replaces Jordan Matthews. Matthews’ 2018 stat line: 20 receptions, 300 yards, 2 TD. Jackson’s 2019 projection: 45 receptions, 765 yards, 5 TD. Whether they’ve tried Nelson Agholor, Torrey Smith or Mike Wallace, the Eagles have struggled to add a vertical element to the offense since Doug Pederson was hired in 2016. During the three seasons, they’ve completed a pedestrian 76-of-221 targets 20-plus yards down field (34.4 percent) for 2 Timmy Jernigan Jerseys Stitched ,768 yards and 12.5 yards per target. They looked to rectify that by trading for old friend Jackson, who returns to the team that drafted him, following five seasons away. Jackson’s 10.8 yards per target was sixth highest in the NFL last season, and his career 10.0 YPT tops the league since he was drafted in 2008. The 32-year-old will be a force as a lid lifter in 2019, as will 2019 draft pick JJ Arcega-Whiteside.NFL Insiders Pick 2019 Rookie of the Year Candidates - B/RMiles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles. The Philadelphia Eagles have a talented and loaded depth chart at running back, which is the only reason why Miles Sanders wasn’t ranked higher. Sanders has the talent and is a perfect fit in Doug Pederson’s offense; it’s just a matter of breaking out of the pack to get the touches needed to produce.Which NFL Teams Will Have the Biggest Contracts Due? - MMQB5. Eagles/Jaguars: Both of these teams have either been able to build their roster thanks to a team-friendly rookie quarterback deal, or have recently seen the downside of what happens when that quarterback doesn’t pan out. Philadelphia’s brilliant run in free agency, trades and the draft will come to head with the looming decision on Carson Wentz’s rookie deal after this season (it expires after 2020). Meanwhile, the Jaguars are doing all they can to keep a star-studded supporting cast alive long enough for Nick Foles to take them to the playoffs. Sooner or later, Jalen Ramsey is going to want (and deserve) an awful lot of money.Vinny Curry back with Eagles to chase that Super Bowl feeling - NBCSPFor whatever reason, Jim Schwartz didn’t want to mention the name of the game, so we’ll try to honor his request. On Tuesday, Schwartz was talking about the new additions to the Eagles’ defense and the first person he named was Vinny Curry, who played his first six years in Philadelphia before joining the Buccaneers for one season. After getting cut by Tampa Bay Youth Chance Warmack Jerseys , he’s back with the Eagles on a one-year deal. “He really looks like he hasn’t missed a beat from where he was when he last played a game for us,” Schwartz said, “which was in Minnesota.” You probably remember the game in Minnesota. It was the last game of the 2017 season but was played on Feb. 4, 2018; ringing any bells?Like he had in the 18 games prior, Curry started this one too. He played 44 snaps (58 percent) and had four tackles. The Eagles won. They got a trophy. “I’m trying to really, really take it to the next level,” Curry said this week. “To feel that feeling again, I’ll do anything in the world for it. I’m just working.Redskins not expected to release Josh Norman for salary cap relief - Hogs HavenThere has been a lot of speculation about Josh Norman’s future with the Washington Redskins. He was a surprise signing after the Carolina Panthers rescinded the franchise tag in 2016, and the Redskins made the former All Pro the highest-paid CB in the NFL. Norman has been Washington’s top corner the last few years, but he hasn’t been a superstar. Head Coach Jay Gruden said he loved what Norman has brought to the team, but he’s looking for that next level play. JP Finlay reports that Josh Norman won’t be getting cut for post-June 1st salary cap relief according to a team official....Social Media Information:BGN Facebook Page: Click here to like our pageBGN Twitter: Follow @BleedingGreenBGN Manager: Brandon Lee Gowton: Follow @BrandonGowtonBGN Radio Twitter: Follow @BGN_Radio

The team was in pads as they held their second of two live tackling sessions this summer. Read on to see what I observed! Also, listen to the latest BGN Radio practice recap podcast by using the embed below or [CLICKING HERE]:PRACTICE NOTES• CARSON WENTZ UPDATE: Wentz’s biggest highlight was a deep touchdown pass to DeSean Jackson. Wentz got the ball out quick with a blitzing Sidney Jones bearing down on him and split the safety (Malcolm Jenkins) and cornerback (Avonte Maddox) to hit Jackson in stride for the explosive play. You love to see it. During 1-on-1, Wentz got picked by Malcolm Jenkins on a fade throw meant for Nelson Agholor. The ball was a little underthrown but Jenkins also played it pretty well. Jenkins was one of the rare defenders who didn’t get totally shook by Agholor in the red zone, by the way. Nelly put a number of defenders on skates with stutter steps and the like. Wentz had touchdown throws to JJ Arcega-Whiteside and Alshon Jeffery in 1-on-1 where the receivers were tightly contested. Wentz isn’t afraid of throwing into tight windows Philadelphia Eagles Jerseys 2019 , which is a good fit for his strong receivers who can fight off defenders. More good from Wentz: looking off the defense and then hitting Zach Ertz for a touchdown along the back of the end zone. He also threaded a pass over the middle to Marken Michel in 7-on-7. Overall, Wentz’s day wasn’t super flashy but he was mostly good. • EAGLES INJURY UPDATE: The big news is that Kamu Grugier-Hill went down with an injury towards the end of practice. It happened on a play where he tackled Jordan Howard. He was on the ground getting his leg looked at before he gingerly walked off the field. Then he was carted back to the trainer’s tent before ultimately walking into the team’s facility. Hopefully Kamu isn’t seriously hurt. He’s had a great training camp and he figures one of the the Eagles’ top two linebackers in terms of snaps played. The Eagles actually issued an injury report for their other banged up guys. Jalen Mills (foot) is obviously still on active/PUP. Cre’Von LeBlanc (foot) is “week-to-week” and so is Paul Worrilow (knee), which is really not good for Worrilow’s roster chances. Mack Hollins (hip) is “day-to-day” and so is Richard Rodgers, who missed practice for the first time today. Rodgers’ injury explains why the Eagles signed tight end Alex Ellis on Friday to eat some reps. Miles Sanders’ injury scare from Thursday did not linger into today. He was full go.Rodney McLeod participated in some 11-on-11 for the first time this offseason. Good sign. He’s still not 100% cleared, though, because he didn’t participate in the team’s live tackling drills; just the thud session. Keep in mind there are 36 days until the Eagles’ Week 1 home opener on Sunday, September 8. • JERSEY NUMBER UPDATES: New Eagles safety Johnathan Cyprien is wearing No. 41. Alex Ellis is wearing No. 48 Womens Shareef Miller Jersey , in case you really wanted to know.• FIGHT! First one of camp. Undrafted rookie free agent tackle Casey Tucker and rookie fourth-round pick Shareef Miller got into it during offensive line versus defensive line 1-on-1. This caused a big scrum between those two units that ultimately didn’t last too long. Not exactly a main card.• You might think the 5-9 Avonte Maddox wouldn’t look so good in red zone drills but he sure did today. Maddox broke up a Wentz fade meant for DeSean. He also had such sticky coverage on Braxton Miller that Clayton Thorson threw the ball away. Eagles defensive backs coach Cory Undlin liked that rep from Maddox.• Another practice in which 6-6 receiver Carlton Agudosi stood out. You know, a lot of times these tall receivers get brought into camps, they’re not actually any good. They’re often stiff and can’t create separation. That’s not exactly the case with Agudosi, who showed off some good route-running to get open in 1-on-1 against a veteran defender like Orlando Scandrick. Agudosi later beat Jeremiah McKinnon on fade touchdown pass from Sudfeld. Sudfeld found Agudosi again on a deep play in 7-on-7. Agudosi is making his case for a practice squad spot at the very least. • Nate Sudfeld continues to trend in a positive direction. He’s looked more consistent recently. Sudfeld capped off an 11-on-11 series with a money red zone touchdown throw to Dallas Goedert. That No. 88 guy isn’t an easy cover. • Hassan Ridgeway appears to be ahead of Treyvon Hester on the Eagles’ depth chart. Ridgeway was taking some first team goal line defensive tackle snaps next to Malik Jackson today with Fletcher Cox not doing team drills and Timmy Jernigan getting a breather (?). • Josh Adams had three notable runs in 11-on-11 where he broke open field tackles to keep on running. I don’t think Adams makes the 53 but he could be a nice depth piece to stash away on the practice squad. • Boston Scott broke off a long run against the third team defense. The aforementioned Shareef Miller deserves some credit for hustling 30+ yards down the field to put a big pop on Scott to end the play. • Kamu had a nice leaping pass deflection on a quick Wentz throw on a goal line play. Kamu’s had several of those in camp so far. Really hope he’s OK.• Emptying the offensive line versus defensive line notebook (besides the fight): Andre Dillard was driven back by Brandon Graham but the rookie didn’t allow Graham to get by him. Jordan Mailata, who false started during a team drill, got beaten by Daeshon Hall. Sua Opeta handled Hester with ease before Hester came back stronger on the next rep and caused the rookie blocker to lose his balance. • Trickeration during group install: Wentz pitches to Darren Sproles on a halfback toss ... but no, it’s a fake! Sproles throws to Joshua Perkins for a touchdown. I’d love to see Sproles throw a touchdown pass in a real game. Maybe that’ll be the new Philly Special in Super Bowl LIV. • Jake Elliott seemingly drilled all his field goal attempts Shareef Miller Jersey Color Rush , including a 54-yarder to end practice. • Vinny Curry: Secret weapon?Joe Ostman and Brandon Graham each took a punt return rep as well. No drops!• During his post-practice presser, Doug Pederson named DeAndre Thompkins and Kevin Wilkins as the best rookie singers on the team. (As a hazing ritual, Eagles rookies have to sing in front of vets during full team meetings.) Doug gave them both an “8 out of 10.” • BGN reader shoutout section: Great seeing Doug M. and Rich B. at practice today! UP NEXTThe Eagles will hold their one and only open practice at Lincoln Financial Field tomorrow evening starting at 7:00 PM ET. Stay tuned to BGN for more coverage, as always.

Womens Bradley Chubb Jersey , new Broncos head coach Vic Fangio declined to talk about reports that Gary Kubiak would be the team’s offensive coordinator because nothing had been finalized yet. That allows Fangio to avoid any backtracking on Friday. While General Manager John Elway talked about Kubiak staying in the organization as if it was a done deal, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that Kubiak will not be on Fangio’s staff and will be leaving the team.Per the report, talks broke down over differences regarding staffing and offensive philosophies. The news comes shortly after word that the Broncos are trying to add Mike Munchak to their staff after interviewing him for their head coaching job. Mike Klis of KUSA confirmed that Kubiak is leaving the team and reports that Munchak is under consideration as an offensive line coach rather than offensive coordinator. A report on Monday indicated that Broncos General Manager John Elway met with former Broncos coach Mike Shanahan last year to discuss a return to the sideline in Denver. That would have meant Vance Joseph’s departure after one year on the job Womens John Elway Jersey , but he wound up back for a second season after CEO Joe Ellis said the team would have to conduct a full search rather than just handing the job to Shanahan. At his Monday press conference, Joseph said the report “didn’t move me at all” and that his focus is on Monday night’s game against the Raiders.“That’s the least of my concerns,” Joseph said Bradley Chubb Broncos Jersey , via Nicki Jhabvala of . “People have written much worse things about me. … I’m not concerned about an article.”Joseph also said he “absolutely” believes he has the support of Broncos management. We’ll find out if Joseph’s read is an accurate one in a couple of weeks, but two years without a trip to the playoffs may not serve him well.

in Week 5 The Pittsburgh Steelers are back in the loser column after a poor performance vs. their divisional rival Dermontti Dawson Jersey , the Baltimore Ravens, at Heinz Field in prime time in Week 4. With the Atlanta Falcons coming into Heinz Field for a Week-5 matchup, the Steelers will need to improve on their 1-2-1 record. Something I did last season and I’m going to start again is the Black-and-Gold Links article. This is an article where I take stories from quality news sources across the Internet, and add them here for your viewing pleasure. I won’t be posting the entire articles, but I’ll link each story and author so that you can read the full article. Today we update some key injuries, most notably cornerback Mike Hilton Let’s get to the news:Free of pain, Steelers’ Hilton hoping to return against FalconsBy: Joe Rutter, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewSlot cornerback Mike Hilton still has some stiffness in his elbow, plus lingering fluid that is preventing him from fully extending it, but he is optimistic about returning Sunday afternoon when the Pittsburgh Steelers play the Atlanta Falcons.Hilton did not practice Wednesday and Friday last week and was limited to individual drills Thursday.“The pain is pretty much out of the way,” Hilton said Monday. “If I get the full range of motion, I’ll be ready to go.”Cameron Sutton replaced Hilton in the slot against the Ravens. The Steelers were without two regulars in Hilton and safety Morgan Burnett (groin). Safety Nat Berhe, who played in certain subpackages, left the game with a pectoral injury and was sporting a sling on his left arm Monday. Linebacker L.J. Fort was used in subpackages for the first time this season, logging 11 defensive snaps.“It’s frustrating, but it’s part of the game,” Hilton said. “We know it’s the next-man-up mentality. Some guys have to step up and be in positions now with a couple guys down. We have guys that can do it, we just have to put it all together.”Tim Benz: An airing of grievances after Steelers’ lackluster effort vs. RavensBy: Tim Benz, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewOur inaugural ”Airing Of Grievances” column after the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Chiefs two weeks ago was so wildly popular, I think we are going to have to make this a tradition after any defeat the Steelers suffer.Heck, maybe some wins, too.If there are any moving forward. With the way this season is going Jack Ham Jersey , there may be far more of the former than the latter. There are plenty of grievances to air in the wake of Baltimore’s 26-14 victory Sunday night at Heinz Field.Third-down offenseThis is where the game was lost for the Steelers. Their third-down offense was an abomination. The unit was 2 of 12 on third-down attempts. Most of that was due to horrid execution. There were misfired passes, a lack of open receivers and some blocks missed here and there.Popcorn, as coach Mike Tomlin will probably say Tuesday. Some of the play calls were atrocious, too.鈥?On the second possession of the game, on third-and-18, there was a short pass underneath to James Conner. It merely seemed to be an effort to get a few yards back before a punt. Already trailing 14-0, the Steelers appeared to concede that drive in a game where every possession was going to be necessary to come back.鈥?On third-and-3 from the Baltimore 20 after an Alex Collins fumble, Ben Roethlisberger lofted up a deep shot down the sideline to Antonio Brown right off the snap. Why try that there? Even if Brown had single coverage, don’t you want Roethlisberger surveying the field with multiple options in the red zone on a possession-down like that instead of tossing up a 50-50 ball to Brown against a taller defender in Marlon Humphrey?鈥?On the first drive after halftime, the Steelers went three-and-out following a short pass to the left of the formation to Ryan Switzer. It lost 5 yards, and the team had to punt.Third-down defenseMeanwhile, the Steelers defense “held” the Ravens to 8 of 17 on third downs. That looks decent on paper. But keep in mind, that includes two failed conversions where Baltimore was essentially winding down the clock at the end of each half. Plus, there was a lame “What the heck? If it’s there, it’s there” throw through the goal post from Joe Flacco on third-and-7 before Justin Tucker’s game-sealing field goal to make it 26-14.”They converted third downs. They possessed the ball. We didn’t get off the field,” defensive end Cameron Heyward said. “That’s not a good recipe for success.”It’s unfortunate. It sucks. I’m (ticked) off we didn’t get the job done.”Yeah, that pretty much says it all.Rotten startsThe Steelers have been dreadful when it comes to starting quickly at Heinz Field of late. Check out these numbers in the last three games at Heinz Field — the Jacksonville divisional-round playoff game and the two regular-season losses in 2018.:::More in the link above:::Ryan Switzer increasingly part of the Steelers’ offenseBy: Chris Adamski, Pittsburgh Tribune-ReviewThe Pittsburgh Steelers’ leading pass-catcher Sunday wasn’t All Pro Antonio Brown, nor was it emerging JuJu Smith-Schuster. In fact, it wasn’t any wide receiver or tight end – or even a starter. It was Ryan Switzer.Acquired the final week of the preseason from Oakland in a swap of late-round draft picks, Switzer caught all seven of the balls Ben Roethlisberger threw his way in the 26-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Including a second-half rush, Switzer had eight touches among the 21 offensive snaps he played.Counting special teams (Switzer is the Steelers’ punt and kick returner) no skill player had more touches for the Steelers than Switzer. Perhaps even more notable than Switzer’s overall usage is that the Steelers often lined him up in the backfield in lieu of starting running back James Conner.“I am just trying to continue to make a name for myself Jack Lambert Jersey ,” Switzer said, “continue to learn my role in this offense and continue to learn Ben’s trust and coaching staff’s trust.”For a team that rarely took Le’Veon Bell off the field in recent years past, Conner sat out 13 of the Steelers’ 73 offensive snaps. Neither other running back on the team (Stevan Ridley and Jaylen Samuels) played on offense Sunday.Coach Mike Tomlin said the decision to use Switzer instead of Conner was “just personnel packages that we worked within.“He’s a valuable component of our offense and has been a nice contributor.”Le’Veon Bell’s absence finally catching up to SteelersBy: Jeremy Fowler, ESPNNo matter how much the Pittsburgh Steelers have tried to separate themselves from Le’Veon Bell, his absence was deeply felt Sunday night. The Steelers needed an equalizer to settle down the offense when things went awry in the second half of their 26-14 loss to the Baltimore Ravens. What they got was a near 5-1 ratio of pass to run in their most physical rivalry. The Steelers always knew they would miss Bell, who’s still sitting out with an unsigned franchise tag as the team explores trading him. Otherwise, teammates wouldn’t have responded so fiercely to his absence in Week 1. They knew he changed the dynamic. As a counter, players and coaches sold a bold new attack behind James Conner, who runs hard and is a better pass-catcher than advertised.Still, the transition from All-Pro to first-year starter manifested in Conner’s 19 yards on nine carries Sunday. The Steelers were outmatched regardless of the running back in a Week 2 loss to Kansas City, but this week felt different as Baltimore ran 30 times for 96 yards.Several Steelers pointed to the Ravens’ quick 14-0 lead as a reason to abandon the run.”The run game, as long as we’re efficient, we’re getting yards here or there,” guard Ramon Foster said. “You get behind the chains a little bit and you have to throw it. That’s not an issue to be frantic about. We’re a team that always finds a way.”Foster is saying the right things, but getting “yards here or there” doesn’t sound like the tone-setting offense the Steelers’ line wants to be. Le'Veon Bell's stall inside the Pittsburgh Steelers locker room has been untouched for months. The Pittsburgh Penguins jersey. The black-and-yellow Jordans. Sweatpants. Cleats. His shoulder pads. Everything remains the same as it was when Bell walked out of the team's facility in January to begin his standoff with the club. The only thing that's been disturbed is the chair. Some days a teammate's workout clothes dangle from the back of it. On others — like Monday — a Steeler uses the seat as a spot to throw his lunch plate. When Bell returns to reclaim his spot is uncertain. The first day of the team's bye week came and went without Bell coming in to sign his one-year franchise tender. What's becoming increasingly clear, however, is that the Steelers are just fine moving on with Bell, or without him.The anger over Bell's decision to not report in time for the regular season opener has subsided. In its place is something akin to exasperation and resolve. One of coach Mike Tomlin's favorite metaphors is to describe each season as a train that's on the move.Pittsburgh (3-2-1) appears to be picking up steam. Bell is standing still. If he'll ever be able to catch up in time to have any impact on Pittsburgh's season is anyone's guess. The last six weeks have been so eventful beyond Bell's absence — from a sluggish start by the defense to wide receiver Antonio Brown's weekly histrionics — the players aren't even getting hit up for inside information on Bell's plans when they get home from work."They know our sole focus is on us winning football games," right tackle Marcus Gilbert said. "They're not bothering me with that. It's strictly about football. Ask me about anything else, the guys on the team currently. But until he shows up, then we can't talk Le'Veon."And at the moment, there's no reason to. Not with the way James Conner is running the ball. The second-year back rolled up 111 yards rushing and two touchdowns in Pittsburgh's 28-21 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday Mike Webster Jersey , his third game of at least 100 yards and two scores in the first six weeks. Only four other players in NFL history have done that."James just wants to put his hand in the pile and be one of the reasons why we win," Tomlin said. "He wants to prove that (he belongs)."There appears to be very little proving left to do.Conner, a former Pitt star, set an Athletic Coast Conference record for touchdowns during his college career but has become perhaps better known for his battle with cancer in 2015 and 2016. On the same day he helped the Steelers to their 18th win in 21 trips to Paul Brown Stadium, he shared a pregame moment with a young fan waging his own war with the disease.Conner is aware of the platform he's been given but is also doing his best to keep the focus on his job. He has a high level of respect for Bell — who tweeted out his congratulations after one of Bell's punishing runs against the Bengals — and wants to continue to be a beacon of hope for cancer patients. At the same time, he also just wants to tuck the ball under his right arm and run as hard as he can for as long as he can. Asked to describe why he's becoming more successful as the weeks pass, Conner is quick to point to an offensive line that hasn't allowed a sack or made him work too hard behind the line of scrimmage during Pittsburgh's modest two-game winning streak."The goons up front, it always starts up front with the O-line," Conner said. "As they go, we go."The question becomes which way the Steelers go when Bell does decide to pull on his familiar No. 26. He considers himself one of the best all-around backs in the league and has the accolades — two-time All-Pro, three-time Pro Bowler — to prove it. Yet he also hasn't been hit in nine months and has kept a decidedly low profile, at least in terms of his physical activity, during his sabbatical."However it all shapes up, we know he's a player that can't be replaced, he's a special player," Gilbert said. "But any guy that we put in there will be a different type of player. Him and James are different type of running backs and they'll complement each other really well."Then Gilbert paused ever so slightly and drilled down beyond platitudes to reality."Like I said, I don't really want to talk Le'Veon to you until he shows up," Gilbert said. "Be interested to see what kind of shape he's in and how he can help better this team because it's a different outfit than last year."

WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Looks Like Someone Has A Sixpack Of The MondaysDaily SlopRedskins RecapsEDTShareTweetShareShareLooks Like Someone Has a Sixpack of the MondaysReinhold Matay-USA TODAY SportsBecause we now have a “legal tampering period Morgan Moses Jersey ,” there are those out there who might think that there was a time when NFL teams refrained from illegal tampering. These people might actually believe that Albert Haynesworth and the Redskins worked out a $100 million deal inthe two minutes between when free agency opened and when the deal was announced. (To be fair...that is probably giving Dan Snyder too much credit in terms of deliberation.) No, NFL teams have perfected the art of tampering over the years, leading the league to throw up its hands and legalize it. Just so everyone is on the same page, legal tempering begins today, which opens up a two-day negotiating period for players hitting unrestricted free agency and prospective teams. While no deals can technically be agreed to during the next two days, the frameworks for deals can be hammered out which will lead to a huge news dump at 4 PM when a litany of contracts will be announced. It also provides for an E! Entertainment type of window when rumors fly and agents work overtime to try and make it seem like their clients are getting multiple offers from teams. The Washington Redskins aren’t flush with salary cap space, so the juice might not be especially juicy for us, but the team will make some room and get involved in the fun, because...well, because it’s Dan and Bruce. We did rumors here last week, so I’m not going to do another rumor post. We had an actual deal done since the last Sixpack, so let’s talk about the addition of Case Keenum. First and foremost on this trade...slow down and take a deep breath. The main thing I have been stressing ever since Alex Smith broke his leg is that the Redskins need cheap labor at the quarterback spot. This is because we still owe the one-legged man $51 million, and we still have plenty of needs elsewhere before we dedicate an additional $15-$20 million on another signal caller. My main goal is to somehow bridge the gap between now and when Alex Smith comes off the books, which is likely to be after NEXT season (2020, not this upcoming 2019 season). To restate my Alex Smith opinion—he ain’t EVER playing again, nor should he. Even after the 2020 season, he will count as $10 million in dead cap, but by then I hope the team will have determined a path forward at the position that is looking out more than one or two seasons. Today, we need cheap and available, as Steve Spurrier would say. (Has Spurrier been convicted yet of the crimes he committed against Patrick Ramsey? His stubborn refusal to employ ANY pass protection was at best gross negligence and at worst it was straight-up criminal misconduct.) If the Redskins were simply a quarterback away from being a contender, I could get behind trying to bring in a guy that would cost significantly more than Keenum. That is not where we are, so to me, Keenum makes a ton of sense. Stay with me...(but obviously feel free to disagree below). The best way to get cheap labor at the quarterback position is to draft a guy, and when you hit on the right guy playing on a rookie deal, your team has a decided advantage. The Redskins were cruising toward that eventuality prior to picking up Case Keenum, but now the team can be a bit more selective about which player it drafts in the first (or second) round. Of course, you need to be able to pick a guy you love, and at #15, the Redskins were more likely to be in the “love the one you’re with” boat. Drafting the wrong guy simply because he was the only available player when it was our turn to select would only compound our problem. Similarly, paying market rate for a free agent veteran could also hamper the Redskins ability to bring in the talent needed at other spots. A one-year deal for a veteran quarterback that has playoff experience and a $3.5 million price tag is kind of a dream come true. I am NOT saying Case Keenum is a dream come true—I am saying his contract is, and that is a huge distinction. I think Keenum is a major step up from Mark Sanchez and Josh Johnson. As for Colt McCoy, I also love him for his contract, which has him at a $3.375 cap hit next season. Neither Colt nor Case are signed after next season, so the team is not tied to any future money for these journeyman vets, instead only owing money to a guy who is probably never going to suit up again...ever. It says here that the Redskins can be efficient at the quarterback position in 2019 with Colt and Case manning the spot. Nobody expects fireworks or All-Pro performances, but these guys are capable trigger men if, for example, our offensive line stays healthy for once and/or if Derrius Guice is the player we think he is. No, I am not here selling you on the notion that the Redskins are all of a sudden top contenders with Case Keenum under center. Instead, I am trying to sell you on the notion that the Redskins are paying next to nothing for a veteran that should stabilize the quarterback position for one season. The team could still decide to draft a guy somewhere in the middle rounds in the hopes they get someone they like and can develop. The team could still decide to add ANOTHER quarterback at roughly the same price or better to add more depth to avoid getting to a point where Mark Sanchez is the best option and our only chance. The Alex Smith injury was catastrophic on multiple levels. For the man, it was and continues to be a life-changing event. He has lost a ton of body mass and fought off the kind of surgery-related infection that has claimed lives. It would be miraculous if he was able to get back into the kind of shape that allowed for his athletic style of play, but I think it would be foolish for him to ever step on the field again. It seems I am not even close to being alone in this thinking, but the pride and determination that go with being the kind of guy Alex Smith is will make this story drag out well into next year. Case Keenum doesn’t arrive as a savior for Washington, but he does plug a one-year hole at an insanely reasonable rate, giving the team flexibility in both free agency and the draft. I am not sure why people are failing to see this as a win for the team.Moving onto free agency and tampering, I am watching closely to see who the Redskins might be linked to or at least discussing contract terms with over the next couple days. I’ll give you two guys I want to see us connected to, starting with an offensive lineman. As some of you know Colt McCoy Jersey , I pulled hard for the Skins to take A.J. Cann in the 2015 draft. The South Carolina product was drafted by the Jacksonville Jaguars in the third round and has spent the majority of his career starting at right guard. I’ll be honest—he hasn’t set the world on fire, earning average grades from outlets like PFF, but the hope is that this means he could be affordable. The 27-year old would be an upgrade for the Redskins at guard with Shawn Lauvao not likely to return, and he could provide some room for the team to draft and develop a young player. Given we have gone through about 329 different offensive linemen (give or take) over the past few seasons, it strikes me that we should be looking to both sign and draft players who can play in the interior of the o-line. Again, not calling Cann a savior here at all, but he could look good next to Trent Williams on a potentially reasonable contract. I say “potentially” because free agent offensive linemen have been breaking the bank as of late. Let’s just get the Landon Collins point in here. Yes, I want him on our team. I have no idea if the Redskins can actually land him, even despite him saying he would love to play where Sean Taylor played. Multiple teams with plenty of money are going to make a run at him, but I am hard-pressed to find any other teams with as many former Alabama players on it...who knows if that helps get the deal done? We should have the money to land a player like Landon, so we shall see. His signing would also dictate, in part, how the early goings of the draft would go for the Skins. At the very least, I want to see some high-level tampering going on between Washington and Landon’s agent! (I would also like to see the Redskins linked to wide receivers Devin Funchess and Tyrell Williams, but neither would be a higher priority for me than Landon Collins.) 41% of ‘Skins fans surveyed said that QB is the biggest need in the draft"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Looks Like Someone Has A Sixpack Of The MondaysDaily SlopRedskins RecapsEDTShareTweetShareShareSkins fans not keen on Keenum? That appears to be the caseRon Chenoy-USA TODAY SportsWe are considered the voice of the fan here at Hogs Haven and we talk daily about who the Redskins are and how the Redskins are doing.  The Raiders won’t do anything close to the house cleaning they did last year with Gruden coming in and putting his stamp on the roster. But cuts are inevitable. And not just the ones that happen after training just prior to the start of the season. Prime cutsDonald PennThe final year of Penn’s contract was the one he held out for in 2017 camp. It was always meant to offer security for him. He then renegotiated the deal prior to last year’s camp because there was no way he was coming back under the previous deal. At the age of 35 and with injuries ending his last three seasons – the latest after four games – do the Raiders even think he’s worth the $7.2 million he would make next season? Or would they take the $1.75 million cap hit and go for all new blood at both tackle spots? Well Johnny Townsend Jersey , since they seem set on Kolton Miller as the future at left tackle, and that’s where Penn belongs, we may have seen the life-long Raiders fan play his last game in Silver & Black.Seth RobertsLast year, Roberts was said to be on the trade block. But no trade ended up happening and cutting him would have left too much dead money behind. That’s not the case this time around. Roberts is due $4.65 million with no dead money if cut or traded. Roberts is a fine slot receiver who can start in a pinch. He also is a tremendous blocker, which increases his value. But should the Raiders look to add some major talent at receiver – and they should – Roberts’s contract might be a bit steep for a fourth wide receiver.AJ McCarron The moment Nathan Peterman entered the building, McCarron’s place on the team was brought into question. Gruden loves Nathan Peterman. Why, we’ll never really know, but he does. And he was just signed to a reserve/futures deal, making his contract as cheap as they come. McCarron is set to make $3.1 million this season. The Raiders traded a 5th round pick for the journeyman QB last offseason. Maybe they could get one back in another trade?Derek Carrier One of the first free agent signings, he was to be a hybrid tight end/wide receiver in Gruden’s offense. Seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown isn’t really lighting things up. It certainly isn’t worth $1.7 million – his 2019 salary. Also figure, when they signed Darren Waller off the Ravens’ practice squad prior to week 14, he began contributing pretty much immediately. In his three games with the Raiders the 6-6, 255-pounder surpassed Carrier’s entire season receiving total with 6 catches on 6 targets for 75 yards, adding a 21-yard run on an end around. Meanwhile Carrier didn’t have a catch over those final three games.Keep an eye on...Kelechi OsemeleThis one may seem far-fetched. And I certainly don’t recommend it. When Osemele is good Reggie Nelson Jersey , he’s really good. And the Raiders aren’t exactly hurting for cap relief, with nearly $80 million in expected money available. That being said, Osemele is set to be the third highest paid guard in the league this season at $10.2 million. And he leaves behind no dead money should he be cut or traded. With two years left on his deal with the Raiders at the age of 30, he could command a nice return in a trade if someone is willing to either take on his salary, or give him a new contract. With the Raiders being in a rebuild, would it be at all surprising if they went with a younger, cheaper guard? Perhaps re-signing free agent Jon Feliciano? Perhaps they liked what they saw from in-season waiver claim Denzelle Good? Perhaps using one of their five draft picks in the top three rounds? Food for thought.See: Raiders 2019 free agent re-sign prioritiesFollow @LeviDamienRaiders add cornerback Antwuan Davis, waive/injured DB Tevin Mitchel With just a couple weeks left before the final cutdown day, the Raiders have made a roster move. They claimed cornerback Antwuan Davis off waivers from the Lions and waived injured safety Tevin Mitchel. The Raiders coaching staff got a good look at Davis a couple weeks ago as the Lions scrimmaged with the Raiders for two days before facing them in the preseason opener. The undrafted rookie out of Texas played in both of the Lions’ preseason games before being waived Monday. He had one tackle vs the Raiders in their first preseason game and another in the Lions’ second preseason game against the Giants.Davis played four seasons for the Longhorns, appearing in 23 games, totaling 50 tackles (40 solo) and two interceptions with one returned for a touchdown, a pass defended, and three forced fumbles. He will hope to make a quick impression in the Raiders final two preseason games against the Packers and Seahawks.Follow @LeviDamien

Case Keenum Jersey , it’s time for teams to publish their unofficial depth charts. Which also means it’s time for coaches to complain about publishing their unofficial depth charts.“Yeah, it’s early and I was forced to make it,” Washington coach Jay Gruden said regarding his team’s first depth chart, which lists Colt McCoy as the first-string quarterback. “I wouldn’t have made a depth chart right now; there’s no reason to, it’s silly. That’s for the media and for me to come up and answer these questions, but really that’s all it is. It’s words on a piece of paper, names on a piece of paper and an order that means nothing at this point.”Well, it means something at this poin. Unless the depth chart is randomly generated HaHa Clinton-Dix Jersey , it’s a snapshot of how the coach views his roster as the first exhibition game looms. At least Gruden admits that he made the depth chart. Plenty of teams simply delegate the task to the P.R. department, allowing the coach to sneer at the configuration of players as the product of people who don’t really know what’s going on.Far less meaningless will be the manner in which Gruden uses his quarterbacks during the preseason, from when guys play to how long they play to whether they even play, much will be revealed over the next few weeks as to the manner in which Gruden regards the men who play the most important position on the roster. Washington has both of its first-round picks under contract. The team announced that edge rusher Montez Sweat signed his rookie deal on Wednesday. He and quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who signed earlier this month along with seven other draft picks, signed four-year deals with a team option for a fifth season.Washington took Haskins with the 15th pick and then traded back into the first round to select Sweat at No. 26. Sweat was initially projected to go earlier by many analysts, but a diagnosis of a heart condition at the Scouting Combine reportedly led some teams to take him off the board.Another report just before the draft said Sweat may have been misdiagnosed and Sweat said he has a “normal heart” after being drafted. Washington obviously sided with Sweat’s view and head coach Jay Gruden said earlier this month that he expects the rookie will play a lot during the 2019 season.

ALAMEDA Gabe Jackson Jersey , Calif. (AP) former starting cornerback David Amerson in the first significant move since Jon Gruden took over as coach last month. The Raiders announced the move to cut ties with Amerson on Monday before his $5.5 million salary for 2018 would have been fully guaranteed later this week.Amerson was a revelation after being claimed off waivers from Washington by the Raiders early in the 2015 season. Amerson started 14 games for Oakland that year and set a franchise record with 26 passes defensed and added a career-high four interceptions. That play earned Amerson a four-year contract extension the following summer worth up to $38 million, but he never played to the level of that deal.Amerson’s play regressed in 2016 and he struggled mightily this past season as part of a secondary that became the first to fail to record any interceptions in the first 10 games of the season in NFL history.Amerson played only seven games before being sidelined by a foot injury for the rest of 2017. He allowed opponents to catch 23 of 31 passes thrown into his coverage area for 391 yards and four touchdowns. The 155.6 passer rating when targeting Amerson was the highest against any defender targeted at least 20 times, according to SportRadar.Amerson was originally a second-round pick by Washington in 2013. He has eight interceptions and 63 passes defensed in 68 career games. The Raiders still must make a decision on cornerback Sean Smith, who is owed $8.5 million for 2018 and might not be back. T.J. Carrie, who was the team’s most effective cornerback this past season, is eligible to be an unrestricted free agent next month.Oakland is counting on 2017 first-round pick Gareon Conley to be the starter next season at one cornerback spot. He played just two games as a rookie because of injuries.— No NFL player has ever generated 2,000 receiving yards in a single season. If Cowboys receiver Amari Cooper has his way Donald Penn Jersey , that will change in the NFL’s 100th season.Cooper tells #PFTPM in an interview that will be posted on Monday that his goal for his first full season in Dallas is 2,000 yards. His best season came in 2016, with 1,153 receiving yards. However, his 725 yards in nine games with Dallas last season after a trade from Oakland translates to 1,288 over the course of a full year. And that’s an impressive feat, given that he had to learn a new offense on the fly. Also impressive is the fact that Cooper had games of 180 yards and 217 yards last season. If he can do that more often Lee Smith Jersey , he can pile up a lot of yardage. He needs to average 125 per game to get to 2,000.Is that unrealistic? Sure. But an unrealistic goal sometimes pushes a player to achieve more than he ever would if the goal was more realistic. So if Cooper wants 2,000 yards but gets something like 1,500, that would still be a great year. For more from Cooper, subscribe to #PFTPM and get the full show as soon as it debuts.

However, Brett Rypien is a threat too as he has come out and had a solid training camp as well.Entering his fourth season, Hogan has some live game action under his belt as a member of the Cleveland Browns in 2016 and 2017. He completed 59.4% of his passes for 621 yards with 4 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Kickoff for the Hall of Fame Game is set for Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Mile High time at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio. My fellow Bronco fans, we have come to that difficult week in every season. A week where we do not get to enjoy the pleasure of watching a Denver Broncos game. And yes, this has been a difficult season to enjoy Bradley Chubb Jersey White , but a week without Broncos football always feels empty. However, we are given the opportunity, as one United in Orange, Broncos Country, to come together and examine the state of the franchise. Now, I am not here to paint a false image, and I refuse to pretend the world is filled with candy canes and rainbows. The 2018 season has been far from what most fans anticipated. The playoffs, at 3-6, are essentially out of the question (I’m looking at you Klis). Case Keenum has not been the answer at quarterback. Vance Joseph has regressed as a head coach. Perhaps the most glaring issue facing the Denver Broncos today is the situation with the Bowlens. Currently, Joe Ellis and John Elway are piloting a captainless vessel. Can any real progress be made while no one is in charge? I ask you to think about this debacle in ownership. Pat Bowlen’s legacy hangs in the balance. He has left his team in the hands of a trust, but can they be trusted? Which child will eventually take the reins? What, if anything can be done Brian Dawkins Jersey , until the head of the horse is facing in the right direction?Demaryius Thomas’ exit from Denver is an difficult example of the turmoil that has befallen the franchise. As a long time Bronco, a champion, his harsh words upon his exit shed light on a strenuous situation in the locker room. It seems the players and coaches are in a battle for the soul of the team. DT’s concerns ring out in Broncos Country. What manner of problems have taken hold of a proud and talented group? How can things get better? Simple. Remember that it is always darkest before the Orange and Blue sunrise. Think back to a time when Josh McDaniels tried to tear down the franchise. He seemingly brought Broncos Country to its knees, but we prevailed. We shall prevail once more.To put it plain, there is too much talent on the roster to believe a complete turnaround is impossible. Look no further than the 2018 rookie class. First round pick, Bradley Chubb, is a front runner for Defensive Rookie of the Year. His 8 sacks have him on pace to challenge the rookie record. Royce Freeman has shown, in limited snaps, he can be an excellent back. Courtland Sutton and Daesean Hamilton are the reason Denver was comfortable trading away DT. And let us marvel at the undrafted free agent from Colorado, Philip Lindsay. He has lit Broncos Country on fire. There are holes. Offensive line, defensive line, middle linebacker Noah Fant Denver Broncos Jersey , corner, tight end. But holes can be filled. Sometimes it takes personnel, and sometimes it takes coaching. Make no mistake, change is coming to Broncos Country. The franchise has reached a crossroads. However, the future is bright. was mostly positive on Thursday Antonio Brown Jersey , it seems there is still one key name to worry about with just one day of practice remaining before the game against the Cleveland Browns. Marcus Gilbert missed his second consecutive day of training with a knee injury and his status for Sunday is looking increasingly doubtful. If he cannot take part in practice on Friday, it should be expected that Matt Feiler would play in his place against Cleveland. After Maurkice Pouncey was the beneficiary of his customary veteran rest day on Wednesday, it was the turn of Ramon Foster to take his on Thursday. Meanwhile, back-to-back days as full participants in training for Morgan Burnett and L.J. Fort was an encouraging sign that both could suit up in Week 8. For the safety who has barely been able to workout since Week 2, just being healthy enough to practice fully for two days in a row was a blessing, as he told Teresa Varley of Steelers.com. There was more good news to be had with the return of Darrius Heyward-Bey and Xavier Grimble after they were both limited the day before. With Grimble seemingly recovering quickly from a suspected concussion Greg Lloyd Jersey , the reserve tight end has a good chance of playing this weekend. For Heyward-Bey, the bye-week could not have come at a better time, and if all goes well, he might not miss his third game of the season in Week 8 after all. By comparison, Cleveland’s injury report looked a little bit more extensive on Thursday, with current starting cornerback E.J. Gaines among the more notable names struggling to be ready in time to face the Steelers. DeMarcus Lawrence is undergoing shoulder surgery this week Kevin Greene Jersey , having held out until he got a new deal. But the Cowboys defensive end, who signed his $105 million deal on Tuesday, had no plans to pull a Le'Veon Bell and sit out the season in the absence of a long-term agreement before the July 15 deadline.“You ain’t got to worry about that. It wasn’t going to be a Le’Veon situation. I ain’t skipping $20 million for nobody,” Lawrence said at a press conference, via NFL Media.Bell sat out last season after the Steelers used the franchise tag on him a second consecutive year, forgoing $14.5 million. He signed with the Jets this offseason.Lawrence was set to make $20.5 million this season under a second franchise tag. He was expected to sit out the offseason program without a long-term deal Lynn Swann Jersey , but it was uncertain whether he would skip training camp and/or all or part of the season. It no longer matters as the Cowboys made Lawrence the highest-paid player in their history.“The contract is a big accomplishment, but my goal is still to get a [Pro Football Hall of Fame] gold jacket,” Lawrence said.

is out for the season after tearing the ACL in his left knee.Guice was injured in Washington’s preseason opener at New England on Thursday night. The team announced the prognosis Friday following an MRI Rob Kelley Jersey , saying Guice should make a full recovery and be ready to play in 2019.Guice was expected to be the Redskins’ starter after they selected him 59th overall in the draft. The LSU product was considered a first-round prospect and went late in the second. In camp, Guice had been splitting first-team carries with Rob Kelley and Samaje Perine. Coach Jay Gruden has said there was competition for the No. 1 job along with third-down back Chris Thompson. Now wide open after Guice’s season-ending injury. The team says tight end Manasseh Garner, a long shot to make the roster, is out for the season with an ACL injury.52<button class="view-gallery">View Gallery</button> Gallery:PHOTOS: Cowboys fall 24-21 after late comeback by 49ers in preseason openerCary Edmondson-USA TODAY Sports | Cary Edmondson Case Keenum was the starting quarterback in Minnesota. Until he wasn’t.He was the starting quarterback in Denver, too. Until he wasn’t.Now, Keenum is the starting quarterback in Washington. Until he isn’t.Washington traded for Keenum on March 7, expecting Keenum to compete with Colt McCoy for the starting job. But McCoy, recovering from a third surgery on the ankle he broke last season, is not expected back for at least two months. And Washington since has added rookie Dwayne Haskins to the quarterbacks room, using a first-round pick on the Ohio State signal caller. So where does that leave Keenum?“I think first of all my job is to help this team win no matter what,” Keenum said Monday, via Les Carpenter of the . “That’s being ready to play; that’s being ready to put our offense specifically in the best position to move the ball Deshazor Everett Jersey , get first downs and get touchdowns — score points. That’s my job. That’s what I’m here to do.“Along with that process different things you learn, you might mention something [to Haskins]. But we’ve got a lot of great coaches in that quarterback room, so I don’t need to be a coach in that sense, but I learned more just by watching players around me. First and foremost my job is to get ready to play and be ready when they need me.” It was the first interview for Keenum with the Washington media since he was traded from Denver. He lasted only one season with the Broncos, who signed him as a free agent a year ago.“I’ve been around long enough to know I’m not surprised anymore by just about anything,” he said.Keenum, 31, is with his fifth team in six seasons and likely not long for Washington. Coach Jay Gruden said Monday he expects McCoy back for training camp and wants three quarterbacks to compete for the job.Eventually, that job will belong to Haskins. “This is no new game to me,” Keenum said, laughing.

from a new team by way of an adjusted contract. It is known that Antonio Brown will be considering something other than money.Per a league source Maxx Crosby Oakland Raiders Jersey , quality of quarterback play will be a factor in Brown’s assessment of whether he wants to play for a team to which he could be traded.Adam Schefter of ESPN reported on Friday night that the Raiders, Titans, and Washington are the three teams that have shown the most interest in trading for Brown. Although it’s tempting to characterize the Oakland-D.C. angle as a battle between Jon and Jay Gruden, only one Gruden (Jon) will be calling the shots as to how much is given to the Steelers and how much money is paid to Brown. The Steelers publicly acknowledged more than a week ago that three teams have shown interest in trading for Brown. This week, G.M. Kevin Colbert said that more than three teams have shown interest, but he declined to provide an updated number.Per Schefter, the Steelers want a first-round pick for Brown. But would Brown want to catch passes from Derek Carr, Marcus Mariota, or whoever the quarterback will be in Washington? Jay Gruden’s receiver-friendly offense could be enticing to Brown Maxx Crosby Jersey 2019 , but none of the options in any of these three places will be a Ben Roethlisberger. As it relates to Ben’s personality, Brown will like that. As it relates to Ben’s throwing skills, all three options will result in a step down for Brown. However it plays out, Brown’s interest in playing for a given team surely will be a factor in that team’s interest in giving up whatever it takes to get him. Which will make it even harder for all parties involved to get what they want. So, the team reeled in former Vikings RB and Raiders former 6th round pick Latavius Murray on a 4-year Cheap Maxx Crosby Jersey , $14 million deal instead. This deal ensures Ingram will be seeking his fortunes elsewhere. Hey, the Raiders need a feature back. It’s the circle of life, right? Sorta like a few years back when the Dolphins signed center Jake Grove and cut Samson Satele whom the Raiders then signed. Ok, not quite that directly, but you get the picture.Ingram is a two-time Pro Bowler, including as recently as 2017. He’s also averaged 4.7 yards per carry over the past six seasons. Someone will want that production and the Raiders are as legit a candidate as any as they currently have no starting running back.Other free agent running backs still out there include Le’Veon Bell, Tevin Coleman and Jay Ajayi, and of course there’s always the option of re-signing either Marshawn Lynch or Doug Martin. And congrats to Tay Train on his third long term NFL contract.Follow @LeviDamien
