Case Keenum Jersey , it’s time for teams to publish their unofficial depth charts. Which also means it’s time for coaches to complain about publishing their unofficial depth charts.“Yeah, it’s early and I was forced to make it,” Washington coach Jay Gruden said regarding his team’s first depth chart, which lists Colt McCoy as the first-string quarterback. “I wouldn’t have made a depth chart right now; there’s no reason to, it’s silly. That’s for the media and for me to come up and answer these questions, but really that’s all it is. It’s words on a piece of paper, names on a piece of paper and an order that means nothing at this point.”Well, it means something at this poin. Unless the depth chart is randomly generated HaHa Clinton-Dix Jersey , it’s a snapshot of how the coach views his roster as the first exhibition game looms. At least Gruden admits that he made the depth chart. Plenty of teams simply delegate the task to the P.R. department, allowing the coach to sneer at the configuration of players as the product of people who don’t really know what’s going on.Far less meaningless will be the manner in which Gruden uses his quarterbacks during the preseason, from when guys play to how long they play to whether they even play, much will be revealed over the next few weeks as to the manner in which Gruden regards the men who play the most important position on the roster. Washington has both of its first-round picks under contract. The team announced that edge rusher Montez Sweat signed his rookie deal on Wednesday. He and quarterback Dwayne Haskins, who signed earlier this month along with seven other draft picks, signed four-year deals with a team option for a fifth season.Washington took Haskins with the 15th pick and then traded back into the first round to select Sweat at No. 26. Sweat was initially projected to go earlier by many analysts, but a diagnosis of a heart condition at the Scouting Combine reportedly led some teams to take him off the board.Another report just before the draft said Sweat may have been misdiagnosed and Sweat said he has a “normal heart” after being drafted. Washington obviously sided with Sweat’s view and head coach Jay Gruden said earlier this month that he expects the rookie will play a lot during the 2019 season.

They will play the Atlanta Falcons in the Hall of Fame Game on Thursday.Hogan, 26, will need to perform well to hold off second-round pick Drew Lock for that backup spot behind Joe Flacco. However, Brett Rypien is a threat too as he has come out and had a solid training camp as well.Entering his fourth season, Hogan has some live game action under his belt as a member of the Cleveland Browns in 2016 and 2017. He completed 59.4% of his passes for 621 yards with 4 touchdowns and 7 interceptions. Kickoff for the Hall of Fame Game is set for Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Mile High time at Tom Benson Stadium in Canton, Ohio. My fellow Bronco fans, we have come to that difficult week in every season. A week where we do not get to enjoy the pleasure of watching a Denver Broncos game. And yes, this has been a difficult season to enjoy Bradley Chubb Jersey White , but a week without Broncos football always feels empty. However, we are given the opportunity, as one United in Orange, Broncos Country, to come together and examine the state of the franchise. Now, I am not here to paint a false image, and I refuse to pretend the world is filled with candy canes and rainbows. The 2018 season has been far from what most fans anticipated. The playoffs, at 3-6, are essentially out of the question (I’m looking at you Klis). Case Keenum has not been the answer at quarterback. Vance Joseph has regressed as a head coach. Perhaps the most glaring issue facing the Denver Broncos today is the situation with the Bowlens. Currently, Joe Ellis and John Elway are piloting a captainless vessel. Can any real progress be made while no one is in charge? I ask you to think about this debacle in ownership. Pat Bowlen’s legacy hangs in the balance. He has left his team in the hands of a trust, but can they be trusted? Which child will eventually take the reins? What, if anything can be done Brian Dawkins Jersey , until the head of the horse is facing in the right direction?Demaryius Thomas’ exit from Denver is an difficult example of the turmoil that has befallen the franchise. As a long time Bronco, a champion, his harsh words upon his exit shed light on a strenuous situation in the locker room. It seems the players and coaches are in a battle for the soul of the team. DT’s concerns ring out in Broncos Country. What manner of problems have taken hold of a proud and talented group? How can things get better? Simple. Remember that it is always darkest before the Orange and Blue sunrise. Think back to a time when Josh McDaniels tried to tear down the franchise. He seemingly brought Broncos Country to its knees, but we prevailed. We shall prevail once more.To put it plain, there is too much talent on the roster to believe a complete turnaround is impossible. Look no further than the 2018 rookie class. First round pick, Bradley Chubb, is a front runner for Defensive Rookie of the Year. His 8 sacks have him on pace to challenge the rookie record. Royce Freeman has shown, in limited snaps, he can be an excellent back. Courtland Sutton and Daesean Hamilton are the reason Denver was comfortable trading away DT. And let us marvel at the undrafted free agent from Colorado, Philip Lindsay. He has lit Broncos Country on fire. There are holes. Offensive line, defensive line, middle linebacker Noah Fant Denver Broncos Jersey , corner, tight end. But holes can be filled. Sometimes it takes personnel, and sometimes it takes coaching. Make no mistake, change is coming to Broncos Country. The franchise has reached a crossroads. However, the future is bright. The state of Broncos Country is strong. The MHR Radio Podcast is now on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Acast, Stitcher, TuneIn and a few other podcast hosts. New draftees excited to get to work with Broncos’ coachesdenverbroncos.comIt is now well-documented how much Dalton Risner, a native Coloradoan, wanted to be a Bronco - and his dream came true Friday when he got the call as Denver’s 41st pick. But it turns out all of the new draft picks headed to the Broncos had some serious love for their new team. And not just because of current stars like Von Miller as teammates or legends like John Elway as the GM, but because of the new coaches. You heard that right - the coaches. It’s been a couple of years since the coaching staff was a true selling point for this team, after all.But since almost all of the new Broncos spent some time in interviews with GM John Elway and the coaching staff, they are coming in excited about their new teachers. And it wasn’t just from nice-but-useless meet-and-greet interviews. With Justin Hollins, for example, the Oregon linebacker sat down with OLB coach Brandon Staley and went over specific plays he could be used in.“He [and I] really clicked. I loved the system that he was showing me and the plays. We sat down and we talked. We really hit it off,” Hollins said. “I feel that underneath him, he is going to develop me. He’s going to show me exactly what it takes to be one of the best. He has coached the best, and I feel like he is one of the best position coaches out there.”For defensive end Dre’mont Jones, the experience with the coaching staff was “really chill.”“I talked to like literally everyone on defense and met with Coach Fangio. He seems like a great guy to talk to,” said Jones, who also spoke with former Bronco Kenny Anunike, a grad assistant at Ohio State. “I can tell [Fangio] is confident in what he’s doing and everything. ...I’m very excited because I know how much of a genius he is defensively.”On the other side of the ball, Risner can’t wait to get started with Hall-of-Famer Mike Munchak as his offensive line coach as well as former Bronco Chris Kuper as the assistant.“I watched Chris growing up and play for years here at right guard. I think I shook his hand a couple more times up there in the offensive line room,” Risner said. “To be able to get the opportunity to get coached by him, and not only by him but by Coach Munchak Jake Butt Jersey , those are two coaches who going into this process I wanted to get coached by. I’m sure there are going to be days that they are on me, but that is what I want. That’s why they are great coaches. I can’t wait for Coach Kuper to get on to me and get me going in the direction I need to go.”When Drew Lock came to town, his interview with the Broncos was more film session with Rich Scangarello than interview (though, of course, THAT was the interview).Lock noted that the new offensive coordinator talked at length with him about fixing his rollout to the left.“All quarterbacks can roll out right and throw. I do a little unorthodox thing sometimes when I go to the left, and we’re going to focus on that and getting it down right. You’ve got to get out of the pocket. You’ve got to make plays out of the pocket, and that was one of the main things we talked about,” Lock said. “For him to be able to go ahead and say something to me in that early meeting, allowing me to work on it now before I ended up being a Bronco, I think that was huge. That was one of the reasons why I felt good coming out of the meeting.” For Lock, who was the Broncos’ third pick of the draft, second in the second round, the young quarterback knows his place on this team is to come in and learn. But learn big and learn immediately. He felt that commitment to teaching him from the Broncos early on in the draft process.“A lot of these teams, they’ll talk to you about your film and go over a play, and not necessarily critique you and tell you what you need to get better on. You’ve got to ask them for that,” Lock noted. “That was just the different vibe I got here. Everything was played out, and he had those tips for me, which made me feel like this could be a home in the future. Now Brendan Langley Jersey , I’m standing here a Denver Bronco.” The veteran defender is hoping he can help Denver "Winn from now on."" Denver Broncos RosterBroncos 2019 Roster Review: Defensive lineman Billy WinnNew,4commentsThe veteran defender is hoping he can help Denver “Winn from now on.”MDTBilly Winn was a solid contributor for the Broncos under Wade Phillips and Gary Kubiak in 2016. He spent the first few years of his career in Cleveland, then Indianapolis before coming to Denver to provide depth along the defensive line. Billy Winn ProfileWinn was brought onto the 90-man roster in 2016 for defensive line depth after Phil Taylor was placed on injured reserved. He made it out of camp and onto the 53-man roster and saw rotational action in every game in 2016, logging 30 percent of the total possible defensive snaps. In 2017, Winn was having a good camp and looked to be on his way to making the roster again when he tore his ACL in a preseason game, landing him on IR for the rest of the season. Winn spent 2018 rehabbing his injury, and Denver brought him back to again compete for a roster spot.QuotableQuote from 2016 when asked about how the season was going:Billy Winn’s roster status with the BroncosThe Broncos are pretty stacked on the defensive line with Shelby Harris, Wolfe, and Gotsis looking to take the three starting down linemen spots in base fronts, with Zach Kerr, Demarcus Walker, and Dre’Mont Jones bringing up the second team, but Winn is a veteran guy with experience and has been a solid rotational guy when healthy. In Chicago, Fangio carried 6-7 defensive linemen on the 53-man roster over the last three years, so there could potentially one more defensive lineman spot up for grabs for Winn depending on how everything shakes out.The fact that Denver decided to bring him back after his injury and rehab shows they see some value in him. I think he has a decent chance of making the roster if he is able to stay healthy.

a deep breath and reflect on what might have been with Antonio Brown in Buffalo Cheap Sutton Smith Jersey , we can shift our attention back to the question of just where the wideout will wind up in 2019.Word in recent days was that the Steelers were pushing teams to come up with their last, best trade offers with an eye on getting a deal done before the week was out. Other than the Bills, though, we’ve since heard a lot more about teams that are pulling themselves out of the process than we’ve heard about teams pursuing the wideout.Albert Breer of SI.com reports there are now “very few options left” for a trade and Brown’s role in the process does not appear to be making things any easier.Multiple reports indicate that the talks between the Steelers and Bills were derailed by Brown’s unwillingness to go to Buffalo and the wideout has not been shy about saying he won’t play if things do not go according to his terms. There have been various reports about what Brown’s looking for from a new team Jon Bostic Jersey , but finding a team that both fits those terms and wants to make a trade clearly is not an easy task. With questions swirling around Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell, talk that Mike Tomlin doesn’t have a tight enough rein on his players and doubt cast about Ben Roethlisberger‘s leadership, the drama around the Pittsburgh Steelers organization recently would make for great reality television. That’s what Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt thinks. Watt said on that he calls his brother, Pittsburgh’s T.J. Watt Cameron Sutton Jersey , to find out what’s going on with the team.“It does seem very dramatic. It’s like somebody that’s watching the Kardashians, and I can call one of the Kardashians. I’ll call my brother, I see everything on TV, and I’ll be like Carnell Lake Jersey , ‘OK, give me the real story.’ And it’s pretty wild. It’s pretty wild,” Watt said.J.J. didn’t offer any specifics about the “pretty wild” things T.J. has told him. But just the information that has become public is plenty dramatic. And until we know the status of Bell and Brown, more drama is ahead.

He finished the season as the top receiving tight end in all of college football, leading Division I (FBS and FCS) in both receptions per game (9.4) and receiving yards per game (146.6) He initially went to OTAs with the Detroit Lions Montae Nicholson Jersey , but they — as you may recall — drafted TJ Hockenson back in April, and didn’t keep Parham. When the Lions cut him, he attended a couple of tryout camps, and then signed with the Redskins. With Jordan Reed, Vernon Davis and Jeremy Sprinkle — not to mention Matt Flanagan and J.P. Holtz —the Redskins’ depth chart will be hard to break into, but, clearly, Parham is someone whom the team has identified as having potential. In an April pre-draft profile, Hogs Haven looked at Parham, and summarized his opportunity in Washington:The DraftNetwork had Parham with a 6th round grade. Here are a few of the highlights from their draft profile:If you’re interested in seeing some film of Parham, Steelers Depot did an in-depth pre-draft profile on him that includes a fair bit of GIF review, including this one that shows why some NFL scouts and coaches are interested in Parham:Interestingly, the Steelers Depot profile gave a 3rd round draft grade, but a Day 3 projection for Parham. Also interestingly Josh Doctson Jersey , all three draft profiles that I looked at on Parham had a few things in common:They all projected him to be drafted and unavailable as a free agent when the selections were finished. They all said he was physical, but not a skilled in-line blocker, though he uses his hands effectively when blocking. In other words, he blocks well for a receiver, but poorly for a tight end. They all noted his lack of special teams play. They all described him as a red-zone threat, a physical mismatch for defensive backs, and as a slot receiver.I get the sense that the description of Parham as a tight end is deceiving, even in terms of the position he played at Stetson, and he won’t be able to play tight end in the NFL, but will need to find a home as a big slot receiver who is in the back half of the receiving depth chart. The Daytona Beach News-Journal wrote a profile article on Parham during the lead up to the Senior Bowl.Click this link to access all 2018 and 2019 Undrafted Free Agent profiles on Hogs HavenSo, we have a picture of a physically tall kid who killed the competition at Stetson University, but who will possibly struggle at the next level due to his lack of special teams play, his somewhat slight frame and lack of blocking ability, but who grabs the attention of offensive coordinators and head coaches because of his potential to create matchup problems for NFL defensive backs.I’m intrigued Sean Taylor Jersey , but also not sure how Donald Parham will fit with the Redskins. For help in sorting Parham out and getting to a “bottom line” understanding of the player, I’ve turned to a film analyst, James FitzGerald, who has volunteered to give his take on the Redskins UDFAs.James FitzGerald (@GMDfitz7765) is a former college player, high school coach, and an avid college football fan who has spent hours in the film room watching opponents and his own teams. His analytical skill adds depth to these profiles that I can’t supply on my own.Let’s see what he has to say.Fitz’s film reviewFilm Watched: Stetson v. Sacred Heart + Multiple highlight filmsBiB Comment: After listening to Jay Gruden talk for years about the desire to have guys who can do this (Josh Doctson, more recently Kelvin Harmon), I begin to understand what the Redskins see in this prospect. How would he fit with the Redskins? The Redskins unofficial search for a new defensive coordinator ended with a whimper as everyone they wanted didn't want them. Washington was linked with Todd Bowles, Steve Wilks, and Gregg Williams, but each of them took DC jobs elsewhere. This means that Greg Manusky keeps his job by default.Jason La Canfora reports that it was Dan Snyder who was leading the search for a new Redskins DC. He really wanted former Redskins safety, and New York Jets Head Coach Todd Bowles. When that didn't happen he turned to former Redskins DC Gregg Williams, but he took the Jets DC job before he could even interview with Washington. So far the Redskins have let Special Teams Coordinator Ben Kotwica leave to take the same job with the Atlanta Falcons. They also let ILB Coach Kirk Olivadotti take the same job with the Green Bay Packers. The Redskins are still searching for replacements for DBs coach Torrian Gray who is still employed by the team. The only coaching addition has been the horing of Nate Kaczor as the team's new special teams coordinator.

What would it take for you to consider the Broncos draft a success? Can John find another Lindsay?Kirby Lee-USA TODAY SportsWhat would it take for you to consider this draft a success?Luke: Instant day 1 starter with 1st round pick. Improved special teamsScotty: Adding players who fit the scheme in an area of need and/or getting a QB of the future on the roster.Kevin: Bring in guys who aren’t idiots and who will help the culture of the locker room. It’s no secret that since PFM left the atmosphere hasn’t been the greatest. I think they are on their way to fixing that and another good draft would be a big boost to making a winning environment.Joe M: I like the strategy that has been used by the Broncos in the past - draft players who were their team’s leader in college. Also focus on guys who are smart, and durable. The approach of drafting a host of players who are injured and/or injury prone but have high upside has been a failed strategy. Let’s move away from that.Adam: The 2018 draft was Elway’s best (aside from drafting Von), but typically it takes a few seasons to truly evaluate a draft. If Denver can stick to the BPA approach, the draft will fall into place, and should work out. Reaching for players, or panic picking is a no-no.Ian St. Clair: Whatever Elway and the Broncos did in 2018, do it in 2019. That draft set the tone, so the expectation is (and better be) to have the same impact and value this year.Taylor: I think the Broncos hit on a smart strategy in the 2018 draft by, if I recall correctly, exclusively drafting 3 and 4 year college starters. The experience level of the rookies showed, translating itself into instant impact from the draft class. So to me a successful 2019 draft would start with heavily featuring the same strategy: 3 and 4 year starters, with wiggle room for BPA. Ian H: They’re certainly heading to the draft with needs, which usually sets you up for disaster. However, their needs: tight end, cornerback, tackle, inside linebacker, center, guard, safety, wide receiver, and quarterback. If they were to somehow address all of those needs I would define that as success: TE1, CB3, LT1, ILB2, C1, G1, SS1, WR4, & QB2.Hart: I’d like to see the Broncos come out of the draft by finding long-term starters at need positions like tight end and interior offensive line. I’d also like to see them find prospects with starting potential at every level of the defense. Sprinkle in another receiving threat (speed guy with return ability) and you have the makings of a quality draft.Laurie: What Chris said. If the 2019 draft follows the 2018 pattern - rookies able to contribute as starters because they earned the position - plus some depth/future starters at key positions in the next year and beyond Menelik Watson Jersey , that will be a draft that improves the team significantly and that’s all you can ask. In my Future Broncos series to date, I’ve covered several topics regarding the team’s future needs as well as some top prospects from the FBS and FCS to look out for in regard to the 2019 NFL Draft. There is still a lot to delve into prospect-wise, and while I usually don’t do mock drafts this early, the current state of the Denver Broncos who are bracing themselves for another cataclysmic season and wild forthcoming offseason filled with immense change prompted this week’s installment to be a mock draft. For this mock draft, I am using the order and pick selection courtesy of Tankathon. Further explanation on how the Broncos acquired the extra selections can be viewed here. Additionally, the team is not expected to receive any compensatory picks in this year’s draft, but here is a deeper look at the selections they possess.Broncos’ 2019 Draft Capital: 44th, 75th, 106th, 137th, 145th (via Minnesota Vikings), 168th, 199th, 223rd (via Los Angeles Rams)With the Broncos slated to pick thirteenth overall, this currently means they would miss out on top prospects such as Justin Herbert (QB, Oregon) and Greedy Williams (CB, LSU), who would undoubtedly be solutions the franchise needs at premier positions. Unfortunately, there are two teams ahead of Denver who will likely be in the market for a franchise quarterback: The New York Giants (currently holding the top selection) and perhaps the Oakland Raiders if John Gruden decides to move on from Derek Carr. That being said, I have not studied Drew Lock or Dwayne Haskins enough to feel comfortable slating them to Denver in the first round. This mock draft will only consist of the first three rounds, but at the end of discussing those three picks, I will outline where I think Denver should focus their handful of Day 3 selections. Without further adieu, here is my three-round Broncos’ mock draft.13th Overall: Devin White, ILB (Junior) — LSU Since I’m opting not to formulate a mega-trade that could somehow land the Broncos a franchise quarterback in the draft, I’m going to go with a difference-maker who is viewed as a top-tier player on the defensive side of the ball where the Broncos clearly need help.I’m doubtful the team elects to use their team-option to retain Brandon Marshall next season. Moreover, it’s quite clear Todd Davis isn’t a long-term solution at linebacker for the Broncos either. Even in a deep inside linebacker class (if juniors declare), that’s why I’m slating Lousiana State junior linebacker Devin White to Denver in the first round.Tremendous size, premier athleticism, tenacity, a non-stop motor and a penchant for creating game-changing turnovers are just some of the reasons why scouts are high on White Shelby Harris Jersey , who is coming off a tremendous sophomore campaign where he registered 133 tackles, 13.5 for loss, 4.5 sacks and 1 interception. He is also the Tigers’ key communicator on defense, often relaying plays in from the sidelines and helping his teammates with pre-snap adjustments and alignments — which speak to his high football IQ. He is also adept in coverage and most certainly has the ability to be a premier playing and three-down defender in the league. Missing out on a top-tier quarterback or cornerback in the first round will likely merit criticism in the comments section. However, acquiring a prospect of White’s caliber would be great for Denver. Without question, the duo of White and Josey Jewell would give the Broncos a formidable interior of their linebacker corps for years to come.44th Overall: Dalton Risner, OL (Senior) — Kansas StateGarett Bolles is struggling, Jared Veldheer hasn’t been able to stay healthy and is in the final year of his deal and the depth at the tackle spot for the Broncos is concerning to say the least. Even before the season started, I pegged this as one of the franchise’s biggest long-term needs and what has transpired to date reinforces that even more. That makes plugging in Kansas State offensive lineman Dalton Risner in the early second-round to the team a no-brain decision.Risner fits the leadership and team captain mold that the Broncos searched for in last year’s draft process and would provide the team with a plug-and-play starter at right tackle as a rookie. He has been a starter in every game since his redshirt freshman season where he played center, but the last three years have been at right tackle. Additionally, he is widely-regarded as one of the top pass-blocking tackles in this year’s draft — and showed that with an admirable performance earlier in the year against Mississippi State pass rusher Montez Sweat, who is likely a top selection in this year’s draft.I have a feeling Risner will be a draft riser and sneak into the later part of the first round, but with a few other prospects ranked higher than him at his position and the overall depth of this year’s draft class — him being available in the early second round isn’t out of the question.75th Overall: Iman Marshall, CB (Senior) — USCWith the up-and-down year Bradley Roby has had thus far, I’m not so certain he is going to be retained long-term with the team. He also recently switched agents, which signifies to me that he has his mind set on free agency. While Chris Harris Jr. is still playing at a high-level, he is getting up their in age and there is no doubt the team needs to bolster their secondary which has went from the No Fly Zone to the Frequent Fly Zone at a quick pace. Brendan Langley didn’t pan out and while Isaac Yiadom is getting more snaps than expected this year, they still need a future starter as the position. Enter USC senior cornerback Iman Marshall, who has the skills to be a starting corner in the National Football League for a long time.Back in 2015, he was considered one of, if not the best prep defenders in the entire nation and was ranked in the Top 10 nationally by most outlets. After being highly-sought after by most every major program in the country, the 6’1, 205 pound corner who runs a 4.45 forty-yard dash opted to stay local and commit to the University of Southern California. It was a great decision for him, as he has been a starter ever since his true freshman season and has cemented himself as one of the best corner prospects available in the 2019 NFL Draft.Marshall is a physical defensive back who uses his size, length and physicality to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage and excels in man coverage. He had one of his best games a few years ago when he snagged two interceptions off of current Arizona Cardinals quarterback Josh Rosen. One of the key judgment factors for me for any prospect is how well they play against top competition, and Marshall has proven his worth against a first-round player. To date, Marshall has racked up 125 tackles, 6 interceptions and 30 passes defended in 42 games as a starter. That’s big-time production in a conference known for slinging the ball around the field. After delving into several of his highlight tapes, he had issues being over-aggressive in coverage which has caused him to give up just as many big plays as he wracks up for the Trojans. That being said, his occasional lapses and coverage and discipline aren’t too big of a worry for me Colby Wadman Jersey , as those deficiencies can be corrected with proper coaching. If the Broncos were able to get a player of his caliber in the early third round, I’d be extremely satisfied. Day 3 Positional Considerations and ProspectsThe Broncos have all of their original selections in rounds four through seven, as well additional fifth and seventh round selections from trades this past offseason. Here are some of my thoughts for positions they should target, as well as a handful of prospects at each position. The defensive line depth in this year’s class is crazy, so I would feel comfortable with the Broncos getting an eventual replacement for Domata Peko here. The franchise could also use another tight end considering the injury history and lack of production from those currently on the roster. This is also a time in the draft where I would like to see Denver add another safety, with the fact that Darian Stewart may be a cap casualty after the season is over. The big question to me is what the Broncos do with Matt Paradis this offseason. If he gets extended, it’s not a major need by any means, but a prospect for depth purposes should be considered. Last but not least, the Broncos did draft Courtland Sutton and DaeSean Hamilton in this past draft, but if franchise opts to get rid of either Demaryius Thomas or Emmanuel Sanders, adding another weapon at receiver would be wise — it’s a deep class at the position.Day 3 defensive tackle prospects: Demarcus Christmas (Florida State), Dontavius Russell (Auburn), Olive Sagapolu (Wisconsin), Daylon Mack (Texas A&M), Raequan Williams (Michigan State)Day 3 tight end prospects: Tommy Sweeney (Boston College), Alize Mack (Notre Dame), Irv Smith Jr. (Alabama), Logan Parker (Southern Utah)Day 3 safety prospects: Andrew Wingard (Wyoming), J.R. Reed (Georgia), Tanner Muse (Clemson), Will Harris (Boston College), Evan Worthington (Colorado)Day 3 center prospects: Sam Mustipher (Notre Dame), Ryan Anderson (Wake Forest), Jesse Burkett (Stanford), Sean Krepsz (Nevada)Day 3 wide receiver prospects: Jaylen Smith (Louisville), Gary Jennings Jr. (West Virginia), Steven Sims Jr. (Kansas), Emmanuel Butler (Northern Arizona)Feel free to sound off in the comments section and give your own Broncos mock draft, as well as discussing other prospects and all scenarios you envision for the franchise next April.

of the presumed league deadline of Wednesday Rocky Bleier Jersey , the Steelers welcome two more names to team facilities on Monday."The Pittsburgh Steelers are close to having met with their limit of pre-draft visitors in 2019 after they hosted two more names in the Steel City on Monday, with Maryland running back Ty Johnson and Murray State linebacker Quincy Williams the latest to be welcomed to team facilities.Johnson amassed 2,635 yards from 348 carries and scored 17 rushing touchdowns in four season at Maryland and also recorded 29 receptions for 318 yards and two scores. As a kick returner, he recorded 1,194 yards on 48 kickoffs for an average of 24.9 yards and scoring two touchdowns. At just under 5-foot-11 and only 228-pounds, many teams will overlook Williams in the upcoming draft and it should come as no surprise to learn that there is very little information about the prospect available online either. He is a smart and savvy player who runs crisp, clean routes. He has excellent ball skills and reliable hands. He has impressive body control and can make the contested catches and almost never drops the ball.WeaknessesThe UC Davis product lacks some suddenness in his feet, and isn’t the most explosive athlete. He can struggle with maintaining top speed in traffic, and takes some time to work up to his second gear. There were concerns that he wasn’t very fast, but he ran a 4.4 at his Pro Day so he is plenty fast once he gets going. However, he does struggle to separate at the top of his routes, and his success came against lower-level competition.VerdictKeelan Doss has been a tremendously productive receiver for three seasons with the UC Davis Aggies, accumulating over 4 Tahir Whitehead Jersey ,000 receiving yards and 28 TDs. He has all the traits and intangibles that one likes to see in a receiver prospect, and was considered a fifth-round draft prospect going into April. However, a pectoral injury suffered at the Combine not only kept him from doing all the receiver drills, it also likely knocked him out of the Draft entirely. The Raiders got a real steal here with a guy who should have been drafted early on the third day of the draft.Fit with RaidersOakland has addressed their WR position more than any other spot on their team. They have added guys like Antonio Brown, Tyrell Williams, JJ Nelson, Ryan Grant, and Hunter Renfrow. But Doss is better than several names on that list and as long as he performs well in camp he should be able to carve out a spot on the Raiders. Despite starting out as a kick returner (averaged over 22 yards per return), Daniels finally got his chance to start at running back during his second season in Oakland. Since that moment, he dominated tallying 8,394 yards from scrimmage and 54 touchdowns in his Raiders’ career.“Until he got hurt, [Daniels] was without question the best complete back in the American Football League,” said former Raiders executive Ron Wolf according to Raiders.com.Daniel’s 5,103 rushing yards places him third on the franchise’s all-time rushing list behind Marcus Allen and Mark Van Eeghen.Daniels earned AFL co-MVP honors in 1963 when he became the first Raider to rush for over 1,000 yards in a season and earned Pro Bowl honors in four straight seasons from 1963-66. Off the field, Daniels was equally as spectacular. He was a notable social-justice advocate in the East Bay and made his mark during the 1965 AFL All-Star game in New Orleans when he played an instrumental role in coordinating a boycott of taxi drivers and restaurants who refused to take African-American customers.

and wide receiver Antonio Brown were sharing the field for the Steelers offense Derwin Gray Jersey 2019 , but they may both be wearing other uniforms by the time the 2019 season gets underway. The circumstances for the two players are different, but one of their Steelers teammates would like to see the team find a way to stop discarding players. Wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster shared those thoughts with Ian Rapoport of NFL Media.“In my dream world, I would have Le鈥橵eon Bell at running back with James Conner,” Smith-Schuster said. “I鈥檇 have AB stay on the other side. We鈥檇 win the Super Bowl with the guys that we have Cheap Derwin Gray Jersey , the guys that we keep. Obviously it鈥檚 tough, situations like that you can鈥檛 control — Art Rooney and Mike Tomlin with that situation. For me, it鈥檚 moreso like let鈥檚 keep the guys on the team and win the Super Bowl. Let鈥檚 stop all the bulls–t.”There appears to be almost no chance that Bell will be in Pittsburgh as anything but a visiting player in the future.聽There’s a lot more to play out on the Brown front, but Smith-Schuster may have to settle for the Steelers holding onto a new crop of teammates in the future. The Antonio Brown saga appears to be over.According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network Benny Snell Pittsburgh Steelers Jersey , the Pittsburgh Steelers are closing in on a deal to ship their soon-to-be former wide receiver to the Buffalo Bills. The Steelers and Brown have been at odds ever since Brown did not play in the final game of the regular season. Brown has expressed frustration over Ben Roethlisberger and what he felt was misplaced criticism by the Steelers’ quarterback.A meeting between Brown and Steelers owner Art Rooney came to the mutual agreement that a trade would be in the best interest of both parties.Whether a trade to Buffalo and a pairing with quarterback Josh Allen is what Brown had in mind remains unclear. In a reply to the official NFL instagram account citing Rapoport’s report, Brown offered a reply of “fake news” with a siren emoji from his verified instagram account. Additionally, Vic Carucci of the cited sources saying the teams had discussed a possible trade for Brown. However, a deal is not imminent and “unlikely.”

Especially for a team that finished last season 4-12 with fan confidence at the end of the season below 50%. But this is fans we’re talking about here. And the offseason is eternal hope time. When you have as many holes to fill as the Raiders did coming into this offseason, and when you go about filling them, fans get more and more excited. And let’s be honest, the fans were given some reason to be optimistic. Antonio Brown is a big part of that.As of the end of last season, 45% of Raiders fans were confident in the direction of the team via our FanPulse survey. Following free agency with the trade for Antonio Brown, addition of Trent Brown, Tyrell Williams, and Lamarcus Joyner, the confidence level made its largest leap to 77%. Then it dipped back down again for reasons hard to pinpoint. Perhaps it was not signing any pass rushers; the team’s most glaring need.Following the draft, it jumped back up again to 79%. The draft is the cure-all. Every pick is looked at as the answer to the questions Womens Bo Jackson Jersey , the high picks are instant starters and the low picks are steals. But as much of a jump as 34% is in a few months time for a team that hasn’t played a game, the resulting 79% confidence rate is still middle-of-the-road in the NFL and the lowest in the AFC West. You want to see utterly unrealistic fan support, check out the Broncos fans, whose confidence level at the end of last season was at 28% and is now at 84%; exactly TRIPLE what it was! No team over 75% had a bigger leap. You can see where the biggest jump occurred. It was free agency, when it jumped up to 69%. And what happened in free agency? Joe Flacco happened. That’s all it takes for Broncos fans to lose their minds. Joe. Flacco.Pre-draft, those Broncos fans had a higher confidence level (75%) than Chargers fans (71%). Did I mention the Chargers made the playoffs with twice as many wins as the Broncos (6-10) who are still without a decent starting QB?Both the Chiefs and Chargers finished 12-4 and were playoff teams last season, so their confidence was high and stayed high throughout the offseason. Chargers fans currently have the division’s highest confidence at 88%, up from 76% at the end of last season.Chiefs fans’ confidence actually waned from 94% to 85%. Imagine that. Chiefs fans with their young MVP QB have just a 1% higher confidence level than Broncos fans with.... Joe... Flacco.Ah, the level of bliss that must accompany that much ignorance.Follow @LeviDamien Six days until the draft. This is fine. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the entire scouting department has been sent home and won’t return for the draft.“They don’t know who to trust” is not a good statement. Especially after reports last year of Gruden having his own scouts and a different draft board than former GM Reggie McKenzie and his scouting department. A report Gruden did not deny outright, but downplayed it saying he has a couple guys who work for the coaches but “it doesn’t intersect with the scouting, it’s a completely different agenda.”That reported divide was thought to have been put in the past with Reggie McKenzie’s firing late last season. Though many in his scouting department remain with the team, including his brother Raleigh McKenzie.Perhaps more details on this will be revealed at some point, but regardless, this is not a positive development with less than a week until the draft with Mike Mayock in his first ever draft as an NFL GM.Update: While not knowing “who to trust” is never a good thing in a draft prep situation, it may not be unusual to clear out the scouting staff at this point.Follow @LeviDamien

Cheap Devin Bush Jersey , how to watch and open thread It’s hard to believe, but the 2018-2019 regular season is finally here!! While 30 NFL teams don’t play until Sunday or Monday, the league’s kickoff game pits the Super Bowl Champion Philadelphia Eagles vs. the Atlanta Falcons in the City of Brotherly Love.In case you didn’t know, this game is nationally televised on NBC, and can be viewed through the NBC Sports app as well — so there’s no real reason to miss it!But down to more important business...Who will win this opening game? Considering Pittsburgh Steelers fans really don’t have a dog in this fight — unless you count a disdain for things on the eastern side of the state of Pennsylvania — it should be a level-headed prediction. As for me, I actually think the visiting team will win for the second year in a row. Last year it was the Kansas City Chiefs who started the season red-hot by defeating the New England Patriots in Foxborough, only to be ‘cooled off’ by the Black-and-gold a few weeks later.I think the Falcons have something to prove, and they’re going to go into Philadelphia and make the Eagles’ fans pray for a quick recovery by Carson Wentz. Nick Foles is inconsistent, and the Super Bowl MVP is far cry from what fans will see on Thursday night.I’ll take the Falcons in this one by the score of:Atlanta — 28Philadelphia — 17What’s your score prediction? Let us know in the comment section below, and enjoy the game with the BTSC group! And as always...HERE WE GO STEELERS! The Steelers came out and absolutely crushed the Panthers. I don’t think any of us could have really predicted this beating, but the defense held up and the offense itself was a mastery of the art. Regardless of how it happened, the Steelers somehow came out, played their best game of the season, and obliterated the Panthers. With a huge 52-21 victory no one really expected, Pittsburgh cemented themselves as a legitimate team now in the AFC, and perhaps even in the Super Bowl picture. This win is huge and sends a big message, as this win was over a very good team in the Panthers. Therefore Joe Greene Jersey , let’s see six takeaways from the big Thursday night victory:Randy Fichtner is so, so good7 touchdowns and perfect in the red zone. That is the stat line of Fichtner’s coaching day today, and boy did he ever impress. His play calls of getting everyone involved in the red zone is truly amazing. He knows how to make this offense incredibly efficient. Rarely are they ever in 3rd and long and it keeps the drives chugging along. Fichtner has incredible play design and set up, too. His play calling just lends this team to be an efficient offense, which they never were under Todd Haley. Ben Roethlisberger is taking less hits, the ball is being spread around, and this offense has a specific rhythm to it that makes it just keep going. Fichtner could be playing himself out of Pittsburgh and into a head coaching gig if he keeps this up.Bud Dupree really has turned a cornerI want to show you this play because it shows that Bud Dupree now has the components of being a good pass rusher. Yes, he still has his issues. For one, his hips are stiff and inhibit his ability to bend, and no, he does not have that many pass rushing moves, but he is playing lower than ever, and especially, is using his hands. We knew about that explosive first step that he has, but I never really thought he would capitalize on it. He does now. Look at him win the hand fight and get the outside leverage, which allows him to bend to get the sack on Newton. Folks, Bud Dupree is progressing and is silencing the need on EDGE to a want for depth. I’m going to say the Steelers will not being drafting an EDGE Round 1 Terrell Edmunds Jersey , instead they certainly may be giving Dupree a little reward, in the form of an extension. Welp, Artie Burns is still badI watched the last quarter of this blowout to hopefully see Artie Burns, and I did. Well, guys, he was just as bad as he has ever been. He is playing timid and is allowing so much separation you would question how he is even rosterable at this point. His DPI penalty should have been an INT for him if he tracks the ball well enough, but he just looks done. He even tripped over himself. I cannot say how bad he was out there and he has been bad this whole season. I don’t want to give up on Burns, but it is certainly trending towards bust land for Artie, unfortunately. This defense is legitYes, the Steelers defense has un-athletic linebackers and it was exposed, also, yes, the Steelers do not have a good CB2, although Coty Sensabaugh has been playing much better as of recent. However, the pressure these guys are generating is crazy right now. 16 hurries for Cam Newton tonight, 5 sacks, that is just crazy against a Panthers Offensive Line that was actually playing well and was 6th in the league in collective pass blocking efficiency Maurkice Pouncey Jersey , per ESPN. The secondary has been okay. Terrell Edmunds is still learning, but Morgan Burnett returned to form today and Joe Haden locked down whoever he faced. But the defensive line’s resurgence has allowed this team to really ascend. Getting that pressure from the middle has impacted this defense on a massive scale, and Heyward, Tuitt, and Hargrave all had good games today.I like this Ryan Switzer guyYou know, I did not expect Ryan Switzer to be a huge part of this offense, but the Steelers converted three first downs on third-down today due to the play of Switzer. For only a 5th round pick, the Steelers not only got an excellent return man, but also a fantastic slot receiver that can come through on third down when the Steelers need it. Switzer has been prominent in Fichtner’s third-down scheming and it has worked incredibly well.Fichtner went back and saw what Switzer could do at North Carolina and is using him exactly in the way he was used there. That is what good OCs do. They shape the scheme to the players, and Switzer has never looked more comfortable. Thanks Oakland.Boz is backWelcome back the Wizard of Boz. Chris Boswell’s struggles have been at the very least concerning, but they certainly were not tonight. His 50 yard field goal was right down the middle and had to be a huge confidence booster for him. In addition to that, I did not see him pushing any kicks to the right. They are really starting to straighten out. And although the Steelers are not settling for as many field goals this year, having Boswell as sure-footed kicker in the back is huge.

SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Nick Mullens got several hundred congratulatory text messages Maxx Crosby Jersey 2019 , a phone call from Brett Favre and his Twitter account verified.Delivering the most productive game by a quarterback in his NFL debut since the merger leads to many accolades.Mullens threw for 262 yards and three touchdowns and the San Francisco 49ers thoroughly dominated the Battle of the Bay, beating the Oakland Raiders 34-3 on Thursday night. The former undrafted free agent out of Favre’s alma mater Southern Mississippi finished 16 for 22 in place of the injured C.J. Beathard and had a 151.9 passer rating, the highest for a quarterback with at least 15 attempts in an NFL debut since the 1970 merger.“I think I’m here for a reason. This is my opportunity to prove that I can play,” Mullens said. “Today’s thing was just attack your job and worry about what matters. What mattered most tonight was the team and how we played.”The Niners (2-7) couldn’t have played much better in snapping a six-game losing streak and winning for just the second time in two years without Jimmy Garoppolo at quarterback.Mullens threw TD passes to Pierre Garcon and Kendrick Bourne on the opening two drives and connected on a 71-yard one-handed catch-and-run play to George Kittle to set up a third TD pass to Kittle. Raheem Mostert added a 52-yard TD run and the defense generated eight sacks for the first time since 2009.But the story of the game was Mullens, got rid of the ball quickly and took advantages of several breakdowns in coverage for big plays, including the 24-yard TD pass to a wide-open Garcon on the opening drive.“It was cool that he didn’t change under the big lights and these circumstances,” cornerback Richard Sherman said. “We’re not really surprised. We’ve seen him do it in practice. He plays with a lot of confidence.”With Garoppolo out for the season and Beathard having lost nine of 10 career starts, the inevitable question will be whether Mullens will take over as starter for the next game Nov. 12 against the New York Giants.“We’ll definitely consider it,” coach Kyle Shanahan said. “I’m definitely not thinking about it right now. Our whole team played very well. They definitely did.”The Raiders (1-7) clearly didn’t, losing for the fourth straight time, getting outscored by 85 points during the skid.“I know it’s not looking pretty right now,” coach Jon Gruden said. “I’ve heard a lot of negativity over the last six, seven months and rightfully so. But we’re going to build a championship football team here.”In what was perhaps the worst prime-time matchup in NFL history, only the Raiders played down to expectations. They provided little resistance on defense against an undrafted quarterback making his NFL debut, did nothing offensively after driving for as field goal on the opening drive and put together the most listless performance yet in Gruden’s second stint as coach.Carr finished 16 for 22 for 171 yards and was sacked seven times before being replaced by AJ McCarron in the fourth quarter. McCarron was sacked once behind a banged-up offensive line.“It’s a frustrating thing to be sitting on the record you have, be going through some of the things we’re going through as an offense and still not being able to put points on the board,” tight end Jared Cook said. “It’s definitely frustrating because we know the talent we have in this room is way better than that and way better than what we portray on the field.”UNDER PRESSURECarr was sacked four times in the first half for the first time in his career as the Raiders struggled to provide much protection against a 49ers defense that has not generated much pressure all year. Dekoda Watson had 1 1/2 sacks in his first game of the season after getting activated from IR earlier in the day.RING CEREMONYFormer Niners receiver Terrell Owens was presented his Hall of Fame ring at a halftime ceremony. Owens was voted into the Hall of Fame earlier this year but skipped the induction ceremony in Canton, Ohio, to hold his own celebration at his college in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Owens said he was upset at the voters who made him wait three years for the honor, saying he believed they brought in off-field issues into their deliberations instead of focusing solely on what Owens did as a player.“This is awesome,” Owens said before the game. “This is an opportunity to give something to the fans. Ever since I left in 2003 and went on and did some great things, but this is where it started my first eight years of my career.”INJURIESRaiders left tackle Kolton Miller left with a knee injury. … Mostert broke his forearm in the third quarter and will miss the rest of the season.UP NEXTRaiders: Host Los Angeles Chargers on Nov. 11.49ers: Host New York Giants on Nov. 12.

and zero cents of guaranteed money over the next three years. Instead Justin Ellis Jersey , he’ll get $30 million, fully guaranteed.Per a source with knowledge of the terms of the looming contract restructuring, the Raiders will guarantee $30 million of Brown’s future payout. Also, the total amount he was due to earn through 2021 will increase from $38.925 million to $50.125 million. There are multiple ways to assess the new deal. Brown will make $16.7 million per year in hard dollars over the next three seasons. But when the $11.2 million is added to the $68 million in new money that Brown received two years ago from the Steelers, the new-money average on the entire deal spikes from $17 million to $19.8 million.Brown also can trigger $4 million in incentives, which would be paid in 2020 and 2021. If earned Rodney Hudson Jersey , he’ll receive an extra $15.2 million over the next three years, and the new-money average of the deal he signed with Pittsburgh in 2017 will be $20.8 million.Regardless of how the cat is skinned, Brown had made $33.79 million over the last two years and he was due to make $38.925 million, with no guarantees. That number has now gone up by $11.2 million, with $30 million of the $50.125 million he’ll make over the next three seasons now fully guaranteed. It’s not a bad outcome for a guy who was tied to the Steelers for three more seasons, and who presumably had no leverage to either demand a trade or finagle a new deal. No trades can become official until the start of the new league year on Wednesday Lamarcus Joyner Jersey , so Antonio Brown hasn’t been traded yet and a report on the machinations that led to an agreement sending him to the Raiders includes word that things almost fell apart on Saturday.Albert Breer of SI.com reports that the deal was “on the verge of crumbling” as the Raiders spoke to Brown’s agent Drew Rosenhaus about the new contract that Brown was looking for as part of any deal. It’s not clear what the sticking point was, but the end result was agreement on a trade and on a new deal with $30 million in guaranteed money.Rosenhaus appeared on NFL Network Sunday and confirmed the timing of the start to talks with the Raiders. He said that Raiders General Manager Mike Mayock drove a hard bargain in the first high-profile move since leaving the world of television to take the job.The expected deal to Oakland came after a near agreement with Buffalo was sidelined by Brown’s contract desires. Philadelphia and Washington also reportedly put in calls on Friday after the Buffalo deal was set aside, although Adam Schefter of ESPN reports that talks with Philly never got serious.

Snap Counts show the Steelers utilizing the two TE set to dominate the Falcons In Week 5 the Pittsburgh Steelers’ offense was looking for consistency across the board. With the desire to get back to the running game Dan McCullers Jersey , and a more balanced approach to their offense, running the football and not falling behind early were paramount. When the Steelers wanted to run the football, they did so with one of their favorite formations, the two tight end set. Since Vance McDonald has returned to normal action, he and Jesse James have been used with great frequency. Without getting into the logistics of the formation, it gives the offense a tremendous amount of options. The run, and the pass are readily available every time the ball is snapped. Taking a look at total snap counts, the Steelers’ used both McDonald (37 snaps for 61%) and James (36 for 59%) a great deal to help add more blockers for James Conner as he tallied another 100 yard game with two rushing touchdowns. In fact, the Steelers were even able to get their third tight end, Xavier Grimble, into the mix by playing 10 total snaps in the game. The Steelers have always valued the tight end position, especially players who both run and block well, and there is a clear difference between Conner’s performance on the ground when the team deploys these offensive sets, compared to the alternative. I am very confident the Steelers will utilize this same offensive approach vs. the Bengals in Week 6 to help neutralize their pass rush, yet also give them options to exploit the middle of the field and let their playmakers find space along the perimeter. Here are some more nuggets from the past week’s Snap Totals:Some talked about Roosevelt Nix’s play in the offense, but it might have just been a mirage. Nix played just 8 snaps on offense vs. the Falcons. After Ryan Switzer was used frequently vs. the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Week 3 win, his playing time on offense has decreased over the next three weeks. Against the Falcons he registered just 4 snaps.James Washington has continued to see a great deal of snaps as the team’s No. 3 receiver (35 in total on Sunday), yet hasn’t made an impact. The Steelers will need him to start making plays to really open up the offense.Could we be seeing the making of the Steelers’ future safety tandem for years to come? For the second straight game, both Terrell Edmunds and Sean Davis have played in 100% of defensive snaps. This week it was a total of 72.Mike Hilton’s presence was felt on the field in a big way, likely because he played a lot. The Steelers used a large number of sub packages against the Atlanta offense, and Hilton made his 55 snaps (76%) count. The ILB rotation between L.J. Fort and Tyler Matakevich was not as evenly split as most thought after the game. Matakevich registered 41 snaps, with Fort just 27.The Artie Burns and Coty Sensabaugh rotation continues, not sure why the coaching staff feels rotating is better than sticking with one player, but Burns notched 41 snaps to Sensabaugh’s 31.Check out the complete snap totals in the chart below, and if you can’t see the chart due to being on a mobile device Xavier Grimble Jersey , CLICK HERE to find those numbers. Just a few days ago I wrote an article about how the longer the Steelers don’t make a change at Defensive Coordinator, the less likely it is Keith Butler will be relieved of his duties at the position.Needless to say, fans weren’t happy, not with the article, but because they want change. The Steelers will be able to tout change heading into 2019, but hardly at significant positions. So far, Outside Linebackers coach Joey Porter and Running Backs coach James Saxon have both been removed from their duties. That’s it.Fans are still holding out hope Butler will be told he is no longer needed, but according to recent reports, like this one from ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, it isn’t likely to happen.Per the report, Mike Tomlin and Keith Butler had their end-of-season meeting, and it was labeled as “productive”. Now, for fans this term would be used by Tomlin handing Butler his termination papers and showing him to the nearest exit of the facility. But for the team, it likely means Butler won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.Butler does have one year left on his current contract with the Steelers, and if they give him one more year at the defensive helm to improve, and he doesn’t, they simple can not renew his contract. While the rest of the NFL doesn’t abide by these principles, it has shown up on more than on occasion in Pittsburgh, most notably with former offensive coordinator Todd Haley. While things could still change, Butler’s return means there is only one coaching position to fill on the defensive side of the ball, and that would be at the Outside Linebackers coach position. Butler has plenty of experience in this area, considering he was the linebackers coach for years under Dick LeBeau. Other than that, not much will change within the coaching staff, which makes fans wonder if anything will change on the field...

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — The Flyers got the type of consistent performance they had been missing of late.Sean Couturier scored a pair of goals Adidas Andrej Sustr Jersey , Calvin Pickard made 31 saves in his fourth career shutout and Philadelphia beat the New York Rangers 4-0 Friday to stop a four-game losing streak.Travis Konecny had a goal, two assists and got into fight, Jordan Weal scored an empty-net goal and Claude Giroux had three assists for Philadelphia, which entered tied for last in the Metropolitan conference. The Flyers scored three goals in the final five minutes, 21 seconds.“There weren’t many guys below the bar; there were none, to be honest with you,” coach Dave Hakstol said. “We played a real good 60-minute game. Everybody went out and did their job, from the goaltender on out.”Pickard, among four Flyers goaltenders this season, was in net because starter Brian Elliott and backup Michal Neuvirth are sidelined with lower body injuries. Pickard has made 10 appearances and has a 4-1-2 record.“It was great for everybody,” Pickard said. “After the last few games, we really keyed in on this one and we wanted to have a good effort start to finish. I thought we did that.”New York, which entered tied for the Metropolitan lead, lost for just the third time in 12 games. The Rangers entered with three wins a row.Pickard made his best save with 5:56 left, a pad stop on Lias Andersson to preserve a one-goal lead.“I wanted to stay patient Adidas Alex Galchenyuk Jersey ,” Pickard said. “He’s a pretty skilled guy, so you had to figure he was going to make a move. I just stayed with him and battled after that.”Couturier scored 35 seconds later with a wrist shot from the slot, sending the puck under Henrik Lundqvist’s right arm after a pass from Konecny. After Weal’s goal, Couturier scored on a rebound with 1:37 remaining.Philadelphia had a season-high 46 shots against the 36-year-old Lundqvist, who started for the 18th time in 23 games. The four-time All-Star said there was no doubt the Flyers deserved the victory.“Today we played a team that did most things better than us; they played really well,” Lundqvist said. “The only thing I didn’t like is we kept taking chances when it was a one-goal game.”After giving up the first goal in each game during their skid, the Flyers outshot the Rangers 15-8 in the first period, going ahead on Konecny’s unusual goal with 6:39 left. He sent the puck toward the net from the side boards, looking for Couturier, and the puck deflected off Lundqvist, Rangers defenseman Brady Skjei and a post before crossing the goal line.Ryan Strome, in his fifth game with the Rangers after his acquisition from Edmonton, fought Konecny to a draw in the second period. Konecny responded to Strome’s strong check on Couturier.Couturier appreciated Konecny’s response.“That’s the team spirit we need, battling for each other,” he said.Notes: New York F Mats Zuccarello (groin) returned to the lineup after missing three games. … Rangers LW Cody McLeod missed his first game of what is expected to be a four-to-six-week absence. He broke his left hand in a fight in Wednesday’s 5-0 win over the Islanders. … The teams meet in New York on Dec. 23 and Jan. 29 Adidas Barrett Hayton Jersey , then play in Philadelphia on March 29.UP NEXTRangers: Host Washington Saturday.Flyers: At Toronto on Saturday. CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Sam Bennett is taking advantage of increased playing time.Bennett had the go-ahead goal and an assist, and the Calgary Flames scored five times in the first period again to beat the Winnipeg Jets 6-3 on Wednesday night.Calgary took the lead for good at 8:20 of the first when Bennett ripped a 25-foot wrist shot into the top corner for his second goal in two games. Next shift out, he combined with TJ Brodie to set up a goal by Matthew Tkachuk.“I’ve wanted this opportunity for a while and I said I’d make the most of it. I’m not going to let my foot off the pedal now,” Bennett said. “The confidence is definitely pretty good right now. I feel confident in my plays and I’m able to make plays and not be scared to make mistakes. It’s a great feeling.”Dillon Dube, Mark Jankowski, Johnny Gaudreau and Derek Ryan, with an empty netter, also scored as Calgary (13-8-1) moved back into first place in the Pacific Division. The Flames became the fourth team in NHL history and first in nearly 30 years to score five or more goals in consecutive first periods. Calgary also scored five times in the first Monday against Vegas in a 7-2 win.The St. Louis Blues were the last team to accomplish the feat back in November 1989.“It was just embarrassing,” Winnipeg forward Patrik Laine said. “That’s not the Winnipeg Jets. That’s not the way we want to play this game. It was bad. It was real bad.”Elevated to the second line alongside Tkachuk and Mikael Backlund to start the homestand, Bennett remains in that spot. The fourth pick in the 2014 draft has earned accolades from his coach and teammates in helping the Flames win three of their past four games.“He’s playing awesome right now,” Tkachuk said. “I love how heavy and physical he’s been. He’s creating more space for myself and (Backlund), but he’s creating more space for himself as well. You saw his speed on that breakaway in the third.”It was the first multipoint game of the season for Bennett. Half of his eight points have come in the past four games.“Benny is one of those guys, he’s a young guy still, he’s getting comfortable with what he brings to the table Adidas Michael Grabner Jersey ,” Flames coach Bill Peters said. “He’s got a real bright future. We’ve said all along, we’ve liked him, we’ve liked him a lot. His competitiveness has led to the opportunity of playing more and he’s capitalized on that.”Making his third consecutive start with struggling Mike Smith on the bench, David Rittich finished with 37 saves to improve to 8-1-0. He’s won five straight.Laine scored two goals and Brandon Tanev had the other one for Winnipeg (12-6-2).“There was quite a bit that didn’t go our way tonight,” captain Blake Wheeler said. “Some of that was self-inflicted and some of it, the puck just wasn’t bouncing our way.”Tanev took advantage of poor defensive coverage and scored on his own rebound just 15 seconds into the game.Dube’s first NHL goal tied it less than two minutes later. He ended his drought in his 17th game, firing Jankowski’s centering pass behind goalie Connor Hellebuyck.Tkachuk’s shot leaked through Hellebuyck’s glove, making it 3-1 and ending the evening for the Jets goaltender. He exited after giving up three goals on nine shots.“We’ve got three in a row right now and I think everyone in our locker room feels great,” Rittich said.Down 5-1, Winnipeg started to chip away at the lead, beginning with Laine’s one-timer with 14 seconds remaining in the second period. On a nearly identical-looking goal, only this time on the power play and off a setup by Dustin Byfuglien, Laine’s 13th of the season 6:17 into the third drew the Jets within two.Laurent Brossoit stopped 14 shots in relief of Hellebuyck. He took the loss to fall to 3-1-1.NOTES: Flames forward Michael Frolik (lower body) was scratched and replaced by Austin Czarnik. … Calgary entered the night as the only NHL team to have five players with at least 20 points. … For the Jets, it was just the second regulation loss in their last 20 games against Pacific Division opponents (15-2-3).UP NEXTJets: Have split the first two games of a four-game trip that continues Friday in Minnesota.Flames: Play at Vegas on Friday.

LOS ANGELES (AP) The Los Angeles Kings know all about poor starts http://www.floridapanthersteamshops.com/authentic-vincent-trocheck-jersey , their first periods at home being something less than highlight material of late. But they are nothing if not resilient, and after falling behind 2-0 to the Columbus Blue Jackets on Thursday night, they stormed back for a 5-2 victory.”There are a lot of character guys in this room,” said forward Nate Thompson. ”They’ve been through a lot together. They’ve done a lot. It’s a veteran group that we know when we get down, that guys just dig deeper.”Thompson turned the momentum around by scoring the Kings’ first goal in the second period. It was his fifth goal of the season and first with the Kings since arriving in a Feb. 13 trade with Ottawa.”I thought the first goal by Thompson was huge for us,” said Kings coach John Stevens. ”It really got us going and we really had some momentum after that.”Alex Iafallo had two goals, and Tanner Pearson and Jeff Carter also scored for Los Angeles. Carter’s goal came on a shorthanded breakaway. Christian Folin had three assists and Jonathan Quick stopped 30 shots.Columbus coach John Tortorella also believed Thompson’s initial goal sparked the Kings.”I thought we lost our composure and never totally got it back,” Tortorella said. ”I don’t think the support was there like it was in the first period. They played better. We didn’t make enough plays. There were some plays to be made. We had some good minutes.”I thought Quick made some key saves. He played better and better as the game went on.”Cam Atkinson and Seth Jones scored the early goals for the Blue Jackets. Joonas Korpisalo saved 29 shots on goal for Columbus.Atkinson’s goal came from a nifty backwards pass from behind the net from Mat Calvert that went through the legs of Anze Kopitar and to the charging Atkinson, who snapped it behind Quick’s back. The Kings scored three times in the second period to take a lead they would never relinquish. They looked like a much different team than the one that trailed 2-0 after the first period.”They came out hot,” Folin said. ”We kind of got on our heels. You have to give them credit. They came out really good.”But we talked in the room after the first period Adrian Kempe Jersey , that we needed to respond. We have 40 minutes to turn this thing around. And we did.”The Kings had played back-to-back games in a home-and-away series with the Vegas Golden Knights on Monday and Tuesday, but Stevens thought his team was ready for Columbus.”We were a step, maybe two steps, slow in the first period,” he said. ”It seemed like we were late to pucks, we were late to checks. They were playing the game at a lot higher pace than we were.”I think the room was ready, we were just a step off. We weren’t trying to change anything tactically, just our whole game pace had to come up a step and it did.”NOTES: The Kings signed their 2017 first-round pick (11th overall), Gabe Vilardi, to a three-year entry-level contract. The 18-year-old forward from Kingston http://www.kingsproshop.com/authentic-alex-iafallo-jersey , Ontario, has played in 134 career games in the Ontario Hockey League, totaling 142 points (60-82). … Iafallo scored twice Thursday, but had only six goals entering the game. … The Kings have won three straight and six of their last eight. … The Blue Jackets remain two points ahead of Carolina for the final wild-card berth in the Eastern Conference.UP NEXTBlue Jackets: Continue their three-game trip in California on Friday in Anaheim.Kings: Remain at home to play Chicago on Saturday.— TAMPA, Fla. — After being the final team in the league to start the season, the Tampa Bay Lightning finally get the chance to be back on the ice Thursday when they host the Vancouver Canucks on Thursday at Amalie Arena.Tampa Bay has been off since opening the season with a shootout victory against the Florida Panthers on Saturday. Vancouver, meanwhile, already has three games under its belt following Tuesday’s loss at Carolina. The Lightning, a Stanley Cup favorite this season, looked anything like a top contender despite the victory on opening night after allowing 43 shots on goal to the Panthers. With the extended time off between games Womens Anze Kopitar Jersey , Tampa Bay went back to a training camp mindset looking to have a stronger showing in the second game.Article continues below ...“We need to raise our compete level, we didn’t execute plays like we usually do,” Lightning forward Yanni Gourde said. “We turned too many pucks over and that was part of why we played like we did in the first period. We know we need to work on that and we were out on the ice (for practice) and working hard it it, so that’s good for us.”Despite the victory on opening night, the Lightning are aware their level of play needs to rise quickly to live up to the expectations they have for themselves, let alone the outside expectations. They should get a boost with the return of Tyler Johnson, who missed the final two weeks of preseason plus the season opener due to an upper-body injury.Johnson has been practicing all week with the team and expects to be in the lineup when Tampa Bay returns to action. That has forced head coach Jon Cooper to move some personnel around when it comes to line combinations.“There’s parts of our game we liked from last game and some we didn’t,” Cooper said. “We are trying to find the best mix possible so we can score more than one shorthanded goal in a game. This is what we’re doing now. We’re just trying to find the chemistry a little bit.”The Canucks don’t have similar expectations in the first year of the post-Sedin era. Vancouver is in the midst of a rebuild with the likes of Bo Horvat, Brock Boesner and Calder Trophy candidate Elias Pettersson. But, starting the season with one victory in three games leaves a bit of an empty feeling despite the optimism with some of the youth injected in to the lineup.“Losing sucks Authentic Derek Forbort Jersey Kids ,” Horvat told the Vancouver Province. “No matter how many goals you score, if you lose at the end of the day, it’s still a loss. For us, that’s our main focus: We want to win hockey games. That’s the main goal.”Canucks head coach Travis Green has been moving the lines around to try to find the right mix of offense — which has not been a problem in the early going — and defense, which has been a bit of an issue, allowing 14 goals in the opening three games.

When the Washington Capitals faced the New York Islanders in the playoffs five years in a row in the 1980s Youth Corey Crawford Jersey , players knew everything. They knew where Mike Bossy loved to shoot from, that Bob Nystrom was going to run them over and that they’d better watch out for Denis Potvin in the neutral zone.”We became so used to one another we were expected to play the Islanders in the playoffs,” former Capitals winger Craig Laughlin said. ”At some point, we always knew we were going to play them.”It’s starting to feel that way now for the Capitals and Pittsburgh Penguins, who are meeting in the second round of the playoffs for the third consecutive year. Two teams playing each other over and over again in the postseason is a common theme in NHL history, especially when 16 of the 21 teams faced off in a divisional format similar to what has been in place since 2014 and is responsible for Capitals-Penguins III.The Capitals faced the New York Rangers from 2011-13 and the Chicago Blackhawks played the Vancouver Canucks from 2009-11. Hockey has changed plenty since the Boston Bruins and Montreal Canadiens played series seven years in a row from 1984-90, but all that familiarity still breeds a whole lot of contempt.”For the players, it’s more difficult,” said former Edmonton defenseman Kevin Lowe, whose Oilers faced Winnipeg three playoffs in a row from 1983-85. ”The body checks are heavier, the cross-checks are harder, the slashes behind the play are harder.”Lowe doesn’t think there are any advantages to players seeing the same opponent over and over again in the playoffs. Even on a Stanley Cup-champion team in Edmonton, there was always pressure to beat the Jets because they had done it in previous years.Seeing the Penguins beat the Capitals on the way to the Cup the past two years, Lowe believes the stronger motivation belongs to Washington.”They’ve made their life miserable, so that amps them up more,” Lowe said. ”There’s no real advantage to the team that’s winning those years because you know every year’s different and you thought, `Oh, we can beat these guys because we beat them before.’ It’s a new set of circumstances every time you play.”Former Philadelphia defenseman Brad Marsh recalled similar circumstances when the Flyers faced the Rangers in the playoffs in the ’80s. New York was often dozens of points back in the standings and yet won their series sometimes.Players also changed teams less frequently back then Duncan Keith Jersey , so the series felt like the continuation of a never-ending rivalry that began each fall in the preseason and was renewed in the playoffs.”You certainly develop a hate for the team a little quicker because you’ve played them so many times in the regular season leading into the playoffs, and if you play them year after year, it certainly does give you extra motivation not to lose to them again,” Marsh said. ”You did know how each player played or what their strengths or weaknesses were.”By now, Capitals captain Alex Ovechkin said he and his teammates know ”pretty much everything” about the Penguins, just like they did about the Rangers a few years ago. Coach Barry Trotz joked there was ”less scouting, shorter days” before acknowledging, ”We’ll be looking for those little edges you can get when you start playing teams multiple times.”Even back in Laughlin’s day, the scouting reports – printed out on paper – were extensive. When Marsh faced the Rangers, he knew how to defend certain players in front of the net and what to expect from an opponent’s stars.Sometimes that’s a no brainer. The Capitals have to watch out for Sidney Crosby, the Penguins for Ovechkin and the 1980s Jets for Wayne Gretzky and Mark Messier.Rick Tocchet, who played with Marsh on the Flyers in the ’80s and was an assistant coach with Pittsburgh in 2016 and 2017, thinks repeatedly facing the same team brings out different aspects in players.”If you were a skill guy, you’d probably go out of your way to hit a guy,” Tocchet said. ”If you really were an aggressive-type player, you’d try to make sure you’d continue to be aggressive and be willing to hit their best players. When you play a team so many times you’re willing to go out of your comfort zone to win those games.”Having an elite team like the Islanders and Oilers dynasties of the ’80s carried with it some pressure, but beating the same opponent repeatedly in the playoffs had one benefit.”Knowing that there would be an element of doubt in there,” Lowe said. ”If you get them down in a series and things are looking bleak where that element of doubt might creep in quicker for the team that hasn’t won. It takes a while before you can actually get an opponent to that position.”The mental battle starts well before Game 1. Speaking from experience http://www.officialblackhawksproshop.com/authentic-adidas-gustav-forsling-jersey , Laughlin thought he and the Capitals could always go toe-to-toe with the Islanders. He figures that’s the only way to approach this kind of situation.”You need that feeling that this is a new year, it’s a new season, it’s a new series and why can’t we win?” Laughlin said. ”It is belief that you have a better team and a belief that you are playing better than them at the moment. I think that’s the only thing you can sort of feed off of is you have more belief in your game the way you’re playing now.”— DETROIT (AP) — There was plenty of space for Erik Gustafsson to shoot the puck himself, but with Patrick Kane alone to the right of the net, his decision was obvious.“He’s a pretty good goal scorer, so I gave it to him,” Gustafsson said.Kane’s second goal of the game, with 2:18 left in overtime, gave the Chicago Blackhawks a 5-4 victory over the Detroit Red Wings on Wednesday night. Kane extended his point streak to 19 games and helped the Blackhawks recover after blowing a 4-1 lead in the third period.Dylan Larkin and Andreas Athanasiou scored two goals each for the Red Wings, who tied it late in the third. But Kane fired home the pass from Gustafsson in overtime, beating goalie Jonathan Bernier for his 38th goal of the season.“It really didn’t feel good from 4-1 on, because we didn’t have a lot of possession and we weren’t creating chances,” Kane said.Artem Anisimov, Brandon Saad and Alex DeBrincat scored for Chicago in the first period. The Blackhawks have won 10 of their last 12 games, and this was the seventh time in that span that they scored at least five goals.Chicago is now tied with Colorado for the last playoff spot in the Western Conference.“Well, I’d rather be in than out,” coach Jeremy Colliton said. “We still need to work on our game. Our game isn’t where it needs to be for us to compete in the playoffs, and we’re going to have to play better to get the points we need coming down the stretch.”Kane trails league leader Alex Ovechkin by just four goals now John Hayden Jersey , although his goals Wednesday were his only points of the night. His assist streak ended at 17 games.Chicago beat Ottawa 8-7 on Monday, and the Blackhawks went through another high-scoring night against Detroit. Anisimov made it 1-0 after only 99 seconds, but Larkin answered for the Red Wings a few minutes later.Saad scored his 21st goal of the season, and DeBrincat’s 33rd made it 3-1 before the end of the period. In the second, Kane came down on a 2-on-1 break with Jonathan Toews. Kane took the shot himself, beating Jimmy Howard to make it 4-1. Howard was then replaced, having allowed four goals on eight shots.“Sometimes it’s just not your night. That doesn’t mean it’s on him,” Detroit coach Jeff Blashill said. “If Kane is going down on a 2-on-1, he’s scoring on lots of goalies. I thought DeBrincat’s shot was a great shot, I thought Saad’s shot was a great shot.”Larkin brought the Red Wings within two with his 26th of the season, and Athanasiou made it 4-3 when he scored on the power play with 14:37 left in regulation. Athanasiou lifted the puck from behind the goal line, next to the net, and it bounced off goalie Cam Ward and in.The Red Wings had their goalie pulled when they tied it with 1:26 left in the third. Mike Green appeared to mis-hit a shot from near the blue line, but Anthony Mantha corralled the puck to the left of the net and slid it across the goalmouth to Athanasiou, who had an easy shot from the other side.“We weren’t happy at all with how we played in the first two periods. We made it an easy night for them,” Larkin said. “I felt like we were waiting for things to happen. They were getting bounces and scoring easy. The way we played in the third, it was a great comeback.”NOTES: Kane has 16 goals in 26 assists during his point streak. … Detroit outshot Chicago 35-20. … Blackhawks F Drake Caggiula left the game with an eye injury.UP NEXTBlackhawks: Host Colorado on Friday night.Red Wings: Host Minnesota on Friday night.

Josh Dobbs is good with numbers.Look no further than his aerospace engineering degree as proof.Still Cheap Kolton Miller Jersey , the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback isn't in the mood to do the math heading into his team's final preseason game on Thursday night against Carolina. The Steelers have four quarterbacks under contract. The odds of there being four on the roster when they head to Cleveland to get things going for real on Sept. 9 are slim.Very slim.Ben Roethlisberger has the starting job until he doesn't want it anymore. Landry Jones is a capable backup. The Steelers used a third-round pick on Mason Rudolph in April. That leaves Dobbs — a fourth-round pick in 2017 — as seemingly the one most likely to be elsewhere come September. He insists he's not worried about the future."I think that's something that you guys (the media) like to play with," Dobbs said. "But for me I just play football. I can't control a lot of things. I can control how I approach every day and how I practice and how I play."And Dobbs has taken significant strides in his second camp. The game has slowed down and his decision-making has sped up. He's thrown for a team-high three touchdowns during the preseason while completing 68 percent of his passes."Last year (as a rookie) when you break the huddle, you're trying to figure out your eyes, figure out what you're trying to do, to make sure you say the play right in the huddle and then get to the line of scrimmage Seth Roberts Jersey , read, react and play football," Dobbs said."Now you know how each play is trying to attack the defense, where you want to go with the ball and if they give you an obscure look you know how to get your team in good plays."Dobbs has also become more patient in letting a play develop instead of just taking off at the first hint of trouble."Now when he's running, he's running at the right time Cheap P.J. Hall Jersey ," Jones said.Coach Mike Tomlin didn't immediately rule out the Steelers holding onto all four quarterbacks past cut-down day on Saturday when rosters are pared from 90 to 53."You are certainly capable of it," Tomlin said. "If you look at what happens in the National Football League it has been done. In today's NFL, two are probably kept more times than four so it's probably less frequent than two at this juncture."Cutting Dobbs outright and hoping to stash him on the practice squad seems unlikely. He's shown enough flashes that he would almost certainly be picked up on the waiver wire. The Steelers, who have depth concerns at offensive line and tight end, could also hold on to Dobbs then deal him before the opener.Dobbs will do his best to drown out the noise and focus on putting what he can on tape that will serve as his resume to hold on to the job he has in Pittsburgh or to find one elsewhere."I think I've performed well http://www.raiderscheapshops.com/cheap-authentic-marcus-gilchrist-jersey ," he said. "I know that ultimate decision isn't in my hands ... I'll (play) however long they want me. I'll take advantage of all the reps, I tell you that."While Dobbs and dozens of other players try to make one last impression in Pittsburgh, newly acquired wide receiver Ryan Switzer will try to make his first. The Steelers acquired Switzer from Oakland on Monday. He arrived in Pittsburgh early Tuesday, practiced that afternoon and Thursday night will find himself returning kicks and possibly even getting in for an offensive snap or two."I know the return game is going to be something I can pick up quicker," Switzer said. "I'm going to try and dive into the offensive playbook and find my niche there."The Steelers have no plans to have All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown to return punts but no heir apparent came to the fore during training camp. Enter Switzer Donald Penn Jersey , who averaged 8.8 yards per punt return while playing for Dallas as a rookie in 2017.Switzer is well acquainted with Heinz Field. The Charleston, West Virginia, native managed to get on the field for a competition as a kid then starred for North Carolina in two trips to Pittsburgh to face the Panthers. He returned nine kicks (seven punts, two kickoffs) for touchdowns for the Tar Heels. After being traded twice in five months, he's ready for a chance to exhale and just go play."Hopefully I can get back to what I was doing in college and things that made me the player that I am Kelechi Osemele Jersey ," he said. Three Raiders players are listed as questionable for the Raiders for Monday’s game against the Broncos, including their starting corners Daryl Worley (shoulder) and Gareon Conley (concussion). The third is defensive tackle Maurice Hurst.Conley was limited all week in the concussion protocol and Gruden said he still has steps left to be cleared to play. Worley missed the first two practices with a shoulder injury before returning limited Friday.Though Hurst is officially listed as questionable for the game against the Broncos, the prognosis doesn’t seem good. He missed practice all week with an ankle injury which usually signals that he won’t be able to play. He missed the game against the Steelers two weeks ago and aggravated the injury last week against the Bengals. Gruden said Friday that Hurst’s ankles is “not getting much better.”The Broncos will be without cornerback and return specialist Brendan Langley. He is out.Final injury reportRaiders......Raiders......
